World Series Game 1....My #1 starter is Catfish Hunter. He is at 97%. Would you start him or my number #2 starter that is at 100%? It is Mari Soto...pretty big drop off.
Thanks in advance

I will generally always start the guy at 100% for playoff games, especially World Series games.

Do you have any low-IP guys who can start games? Use your best pitchers for as many IP as possible.

Mario Soto--OAV. 215 WHIP 1.06 ERC 2.37
Bobby Bolin-OAV. 200 WHIP .98 ERC 1.89
Bob Moose-OAV .218 WHIP 1.03 ERC 1.99

Wow..after looking at the actual stats...I think I will start Bobby Bolin for Game 1. All of those pitchers are 100%, Soto has been my #2 all year, but mostly because of his innings pitched.
If I lose Game 1, I will probably go with Catfish who will be at 98%...if I win Game 1, I will try to save him for Game 3 and go with either Soto or Moose.

..but I will add that Soto has been a little bit better regular season stats.

are Heathcock and Busby already blown out? now would be the time to use both those guys

like skunk said, use your best pitchers as much as possible. Soto appears to be the least effective pitcher on your roster so in the playoffs I would not use him for anything but long relief

Heathcock is your best SP option in a short series. He can safely throw 65-70 pitches in a start.

Busby can throw 110-115 pitches and he's probably the second-best option.

I'd also start Bolin and a 98% Hunter over Soto.

Starting Busby Game 4...he has been in the 80s since the playoffs started
