I played sim baseball a lot a number of years ago - under this name and another. BUT I have been away for a long time. Like five years I bet

I've got a team left over that I was thinking about using - did a couple of exhibition seasons to remember the basics.

Are there well known cookies - players who many use in open leagues?

Or if not specific players is there a prevailing view that some attribute is under priced these days? Just any subjective sense.....to get me started in a productive direction

I remember normalization, fatigue etc as they were understood some time back......

the biggest change is dynamic pricing was implemented in 2016/2017 and caused all the frequently used players from before to increase in price. so a lot of players from 2017 onward are underpriced relative to many of the popular players from before. 2020 in particular has a bunch of cookies.

the sim is still the same as it was then as far as I know. i would say to just go through the draft center at certain price points and PA/IP totals and see for yourself.

Agree w/ 06 and they also still have the link to most frequently used players.....so a safe assumptions is these guys are either bargains or "cookies" depending on your definition. Bang for Buck or Overperfomance.

You should be aware, fd343ny, that there are no longer AAA players in Open Leagues. So draft accordingly.

Pitchers: 2020-2022 pitchers have a lot of great bargains.
Hitters: A lot of the old cookies are probably still good - but 2019 Marte is probably most used right now (for good reason).

Thanks all - doing some exhib seasons....

In a way, I am glad that I dont need to find my notes on how to figure out who my AAA guys really are~!

Everyone gets 1.6m to spend on the waiver wire as the AAA replacement. I personally like the extra $ over AAA
