when jobs open early in the morning ET after a season ends, when do the first acceptances and rejections go out - is it like at 11 or 2 or is there an initial 12 or 24 hour wait? I have no recollection of the cycles

It's 24 hours after the jobs open for initial acceptances. Then it might be every 12 hours after that, but I could be wrong.

the 24 hours bit is correct. well, almost. don't jobs open like 12:01 am more or less? jobs themselves are actually processed on the old cycles of 2/5/8/11, so i kinda think 2am the next day is the first processing.

afterwards, jobs are processed every cycle. its just that if you apply to a job, as the first coach to apply, there is a minimum waiting period or something in that general ballpark. you apply, it might take 12 or 15 hours for it to decide, to give other people a shot. sometimes it can be less when you are applying after other people already started the clock, so to speak.

i don't know exactly how it works but for sure, jobs are processed on those 2/5/8/11 (EST) times and people will get jobs in general in every single one of those slots. and normally you'll have to wait 12 to 24 or so hours to get a response. but not always.

To be technical, I think it’s 23 hours. Because job openings actually ‘start’ at 3am eastern. And from there what gil said is correct because the first cycle of new hires is 2am that next night. And from there it’s the 2/5/8/11 hours. The rest is a combo of what everyone here said.

i find it interesting that we know hella details about this game as a community. Things that to some would be impossible to figure out. But we can’t collectively put our finger On the exacts of the jobs process! It’s a tough one to nail
