Is anyone else having trouble connecting to WIS through Chrome? I've cleared cache, cookies and changed the password. All other sites are working. Finally went to Firefox and using gym wifi gets me in. Big pain. Is it Chrome? Firefox was having trouble at home too.

Sitewide Loading Issues

Staff is working to remedy ASAP. Mobile browsers appear to be mostly unaffected. Firefox and Brave are recommended as browser until solution is found. Is what they posted on my account page

They should halt all simulation until they get it figured out. Inevitably, someone is going to lose out on an Int'l FA HOFer, or signing the coach they wanted, or the FA pitcher they needed. They'll lose more people because they kept it going while not running correctly than if they just pause it for a while.

That would mean they care about their users. This is IT at it's worst. They know what they're doing and shouldn't be held accountable by those that pay for the product. They work in the shadows, showing nothing but contempt for us by not letting us know about the modifications they are making and how it will affect this product we are using. We should just sit quietly while they do as they please. I really haven't seen a company show so much disdain for their customer base and wonder if they actually care about the company they work for, the niche market they are in and alienating. Those new to the game don't know that the original programmers would actually keep us in the loop and tell us when things would be changed. This group can't be bothered with such trivial details. We've lost a lot of good players that spent a lot of money and instead of using them as a base to build on, they were driven away in the hopes of finding people to replace them. I wonder how that business model is working.

One of my worlds had the Rule 5 roster freeze happen right after this issue, and needless to say some owners lost players because they couldn’t protect them before the deadline.

Sorry jholt, doesn't explain why we weren't warned that an update was happening, given any info about the update or why the game wasn't frozen so that it could be done without the issues you now have to scramble to find solutions for. I've been playing for quite some time and remember the original staff. There were many issues with the game, but we were kept in the loop about updates, what they were trying to accomplish, and welcomed our input when glitches were discovered. The current staff works in the dark without a word. I can't imagine that they have anything but disdain and contempt for us the end users. Not sure why this is but the manner in which these updates are handled are counterproductive and will do more to chase away the paying customers than enhance your business. And I'm still using a secondary browser to have access to the game so it's still not working correctly.

This issue wasn't caused by an update to the site. This issue arose randomly on Saturday morning and was caused by Google analytics. The site had no warnings or notifications there was an issue. The only thing that alerted us was the number of tickets received and my own inability to access the site. Since this wasn't an issue on the site it also made troubleshooting difficult. We are sorry for the hassle and inconvenience this caused and all of the staff worked diligently and through their days off and the holiday to try to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
