HPL is a long running dual progressive with the current season finishing up today before heading into the playoffs. We plan on going off the clock over the Labor Day weekend and starting on the clock Monday. We use 12 picks a day during Round 1 with the schedule set in stone for those days from 10AM WIS time to 9PM regardless of how many picks are taken off the clock so if 6 picks are taken off the clock the first timed pick on Monday would be at 4PM with the draft being run this way every season.

This continuity allows owners to always be aware of when their 1st round pick will be once the draft order is posted.

The league is currently heading into 1925/2016 but we have added rookies only since 1894 to the mix as is explained below as we are also drafting 1896 rookies in the next draft.

Remember it is rookies only in the 19th century every season and then when we arrive at 1900/1929/2020 we draft 1900 rookies and free agents, 1929 rookies and free agents and 2020 rookies only until we run out of 21st century players in 2023.

So if a rookie from 1896 isn't taken he will not appear again as a free agent until 1900 if he still has seasons left. Same thing if a player from the 19th century is cut after this season he will not be available again until 1900.

I've been running a 3rd team in this league for a few seasons. The team is a playoff team this season (again) and if someone is really interested I may give it up. Not gonna post the roster as if someone shows interest in the league I will shoot you the roster by sm. I don't mind running it again.

I also had an owner contact me when the season was nearly over even though I had told him the cut off for letting me know they are not returning is game 120. I told him again and he has not got back to me so he's probably gonna hang out one more season (as he should) after the reminder but we'll see as some owners simply don't get that a commish needs fair warning.

I have added another owner to the league forum; both quality owners. Any other interest is still welcome.

The draft has started and this team is up Tuesday. I have some sm interest so bumped up the thread.

Here is the roster as loaded by myself. It has a full pitching staff that only needs relief pitching. It has studs at 1B, 3B, and SS and has great future talent in Grantham. Joe Harris has a really good season and is rated in the OF at B+/D- in the OF to fill one of those slots against RH's. In this draft this team should be competing again this season.

It needs 8 picks but a saavy drafter would enjoy the current draft and pieces this team has to offer. This team is up tomorrow and I will pick for it and update here if no one still see's the potential for right now.
