This issue, as in real life, has about a 50/50 split in terms of fan approval.

Also for HBD game purposes, the game - IMO - already generates a ton of useless DHs in every draft. They're positionless players who drag down the talent pool, but they are cheap production if you can figure out a way to shoehorn them into a lineup. Also, without them no one would ever have figured out the "DH in RF" strategy. So there's that.
