Freshman Promised starts and 25 minutes fails off Topic

I am a dingus and tried to test the boundaries of minutes scheduled for a freshman. I f'ed around and found out. He ended up with a 1.9 after the 12th game. And is now out for the next 12 games.

I will make sure his gpa returns to over 2.0 so he can play after the 24th game. But will now happen to him?

Any answers greatly appreciated. Thank you.

As always, Imes_Penis is in trouble.

thanks for the reply, hoping the same goes for me as my players promised had also been kept at the time of failing off. Seems like this isn't a terrible thing if he can continue to improve through practice. Allow my team to start the best players possible. And if he can stay and not transfer. seems like a win/win situation/ loop hole.

Getting freshman with promises (or sophomores that start ineligible) to drop under a 2.0 is a strategy in some cases. You need a deep team, the kid needs a high WE and you are always rolling the dice. At D1 , the kid needs an overall 2.7 at the end of his 4th year to come back for a 5th, I think it's 2.4 at D2. You have to manage that as well.

On the plus side, the internal message they send to notify you they aren't coming back is kinda funny. I think I had one kid tell me he was going to Medical School in the Dominican Republic or something like that.

Thank you for the additional information on how to master this loop hole... not sure if this is something I want to fine tune necessarily. Also, Maybe one day I will have the guts to try out d1 and d2....hoping that no players of ours at Wesleyan join any type of medical school other than the one we offer at our campus lol

Curious, why did your player leave for the DR? I know the weather is great, but jeeze! You guys run this best zone in the country!

It is a loophole/strategy! Depending how the community feels that day lol..

But yes, I've purposefully failed players out in order to just get them on my roster with promises but not so that it affects my seeding during NT. Best players in conf play and improve.
