The Jubilee Progressive is based off of ancient biblical times when every 7 years, debts would be forgiven and slaves set free. In our league, every 7 season, all players revert to their actual real-life franchise. In between those seasons, you get to draft and trade to improve your franchise. This helps keep our franchises at least resembling their real-life counterparts, forgives the sins of those who have drafted/traded poorly, and keeps those who have drafted/traded well from building unstoppable juggernauts. 20 teams, DH in AL only.
The draft order is determined by upon the reverse order of the teams' real-life records, so there is no incentive for tanking, and teams whose players had down years in real-life are more likely to get better draft picks in our league.
We're finishing up 1990, and we need one owner for the Pittsburgh Pirates as we look forward to our 1990 draft. The 1990 roster is below, and you would select your keepers/cuts from these lists. The next Jubilee reset is in 1993, so you can work to improve your roster through drafts and trades until that point--when it defaults to what your real-life roster was. And every Jubilee cycle, owners are allowed to select a new franchise from among the unowned ones if they wish.
