2b, range and double plays Topic

So recently I was unimpressed by one of my A range SS's. He made 50+ errors (C Fielding) and didn't seem to have many more DP's than other SS. I did have a low team WHIP and a more than league average pitching K's but I really didn't feel like I it was worth the $ investment.

Then I remembered* an old thread that did some analysis and found that it was 2b's range that lead to more DP's. So I looked. And looked. And looked. But I can't find the damn thing. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

*I very well may be making this up. I tend to remember things that didn't really happen way more often than I used to.

I also have a similar recollection, if that's worth anything... in a quick search, this was the closest I could find:

Just got a response from the admins. Interesting:

The sim looks at a variety of factors for whether a ground ball can be turned into a DP:
how hard was the ball hit
how fast are the runners on base
how fast is the hitter (including whether from left or right side of the plate)
fielder's range (for the throw)
fielder's range (for the pivot)
game situation (score, inning, outs)

All things equal, RH should hit into more DP than LH.
