History Progressive League is heading into Season 102 and needs an owner for the below team with the star player being Lou Gehrig.

We have been transitioning the last 10 seasons since 1923/2014 when we added 1894 but used rookies only in that era until it hit 1900 where we then used rookies and veterans but then started using rookies only in 2020 in the 21st century era.

So we are headed now into out last transitional season of 1904/1933 and rookies only for 2024 to end the 21st century and go back to being an only two season progressive league. This is the 2nd and last time we will transition as the season after this we will be in 1905/1934 with plenty of room down the road.

We do use average AAA players and my reasoning for that is so selecting players in the draft can be based on their future and not how many PA's or IP they have in the season they are being selected so building for the future is easier

Trying to get the draft started as scheduled this weekend off the clock so we can go on the clock on Monday. This is a swift moving league as the season ended today with a play in game today so the playoffs will start Saturday and we will be drafting why they are playing out and then we would be ready to start a new season right away when they end with owners expected o enter there team when done drafting with no doddling unless of course life throws you a huge curve.

We use what we call the minors in this league where an owner can stash away up to 3 players for up to 3 seasons when that player(s) would have to be activated or cut unless he went on actual IR. This team had one player in the minors and 1 on IR. Players in the minors must be tracked as shown below.

Minors - P Luis Severino 2/3

IR - BlakeTreinen (24)

I highlighted the above part of the quote for a reason. Not only does it allow farsighted drafting but is also means that if you draft a future player that has good seasons ahead but has very few PA's or IP I don't want to see that player playing at 0% whilst you have AAA payers to play that role at a lesser fatigue value.

That is tanking and the average AAA allows the commish to warn or then penalize tankers.

We have on MIA owner in tigerrott right now and I'd still like to get the draft started but with him missing and needing an owner I would have to draft for both teams so if I could get an owner to join we could start as then I would only need to draft for tigerrott.

There would be no rush for the new owner as that pick wouldn't be on the clock until Tuesday at 10:00AM so plenty of time to prepare if needed. We use 1 hour time slots in Round 1 with 12 picks on Monday and 12 picks on Tuesday to ease into things and then we use 24 picks a day until completed.

The owner of the below team is willing to take the open team with Gehriig and rebuild it if someone is willing to take this team to help get the league an owner and ready to start drafting. The only request is that the owner taking the below team stay in the league at least 5 seasons.

I will go ahead and draft for the Philly team and that way the Seattle team can remain with the present owner. I will post the once Philly roster when I load it and will post the picks in case someone is interested after they see what I can do with the roster.

The former Philly team is below after the draft and a few trades. Besides Gehrig it has Rick Ferrell, Joe Cronin, Miller Huggins and one last season from Jose Ramirez and some good pitching this season and looks to either be a contender or if not has a lot of one season players to trade from 2024 that would draw some draft picks for the next draft in 1905/1934 as 21st century players will then be a thing of the past completing the transition back to a simple two season progressive.

The owner that entered the team so we could view the roster changed the stadium and team name in case we get no interest and he has to run it this season. He plans to make a run if no one takes it and then make trades if not in contention later in the season. A good plan and a new owner could do the same.

Last call for one of these two franchise in an excellent league that has been running for over 100 seasons with barely a hiccup as the draft ended last Tuesday and I will be realigning and moving on tomorrow morning.

I had one owner with a mother in the hospital so used these past couple days to try one last time to find an owner. He will be entering tonight.
