Chicago Bananas (68-94) – 6th Overall pick: Not long ago this franchise was a perennial playoff contender, even making an appearance in the World Series in Season 59. But they have struggled to get to .500 the last several seasons, mainly due to ownership turnover. The good news is that this team has some quality arms, finishing about league average in WHIP and ERA. The weak link was at the plate where they ranked near the bottom in most offensive categories. But hitting is easier to acquire than pitchers, so the road back to the playoffs may not be long.
Boston Vigilantes (72-90) – 9th Overall pick: This club had endured 6 straight seasons of 97+ losses until the previous owner took over. He was able to get the rebuild underway with a couple of solid drafts and some wise player personnel decisions. They are still a few pieces away from being a contender, but the heavy lifting of the rebuild has been done. Now you must decide if another year or two of rebuilding is in order, are can you win here now with some key free agent additions? You make the call.
Monterrey La Migra (83-79) – This team has won more than 90 games two of the past three seasons, so they are ready to contend now. Although this club narrowly missed the playoffs last year, they finished above league average in both pitching and hitting, so a little tweaking and they could be back in the playoffs.
