The reason this league is "expanding" is two-fold. First, the number of players WILL expand in 1977 and again later. We could make the league bigger over time. Second, we've replaced exactly one owner in each season so far. So, if this league interests you, just mention it below without obligation, and I will know to reach out next time we need more owners. We draft around once a month, so it might not be long!

THM76700 is the code for the 1972 draft. I am running these drafts a few days into the prior season, not waiting for the season to end. We are likely to have 1 slot (maybe 2) open for 1972. You can join at THM76700 and message me if it fills before you get in.

This league is a LOT of fun!

If you have not yet drafted using the WIS feature, this is a great chance to try it. I am happy to answer any questions as we draft, but everyone finds it eary to learn.

The draft will include all 1972 players, but once any version of a speciifc player is taken (combined or partial seasons), other versions are removed from the pool.

We completed the 1969 draft in under a week, and after 90 games every division was still competitive, and no one is more than 16 games out. Everyone is competitive in 1970 after 109 games. All but 3 teams are within 6 so we will have a bunch of exciting pennant races. We love drafting so we aren't waiting for one season to end before moving along.

Using the WIS draft module, you will know your EXACT 10 minutue draft windows in advance. They are from 11am-9pm eastern. If you miss a slot, you can pick anytime - but every 10 minutes another player has the ability to slip ahead of you.

This league is progressive in this way - a few days into the 1972 season, I will do another draft for the 1973 players. No keepers from 1972 for that, but most players in one were in both.

WIS is giving me $50 of prize credit to distribute to those with the best records within the first 5 seasons. If you replace a prior player, you can inherit their win count to stay competitive.

WIS set it up assuming the draft begins on March 10 (assuming we are full of course). It is available to register and most have already joined.

We will do the round 26 stadium draft in this thread, but players need to select their stadium in BOTH this location (for exclusivity) and in the draft module (to prevent delays from fixing it afterward).

Round 26 draft order: late can pick anytime from remaining 1971 stadiums, post here before picking it.

You can just say the team name to draft the stadium.
You can draft early ONLY if everyone ahead of you has drafted.
You can send proxies to someone if you will be busy at your draft time.
You can pick any time after if you miss your draft window BUT every 10 minutes someone else can sneak ahead of you. Good to look after your post submits, just to be sure.
