Hey all, Diamondbacks just rolled for Season 67 with just two openings. Fun world with lots of long-term owners and both available teams are pretty strong opportunities to put your stamp on them and rebuild quickly.
Former Chicago Franchise won the NL North last season despite winning only 76 games so you get both an instant contender and the 15th pick in the draft. Previous owner was one-and-done but before him this team had 11 years with a great owner who dominated the division so it's been quite well cared for.
Former Wichita Franchise is a more traditional rebuild in the rough-and-tumble AL East. Was abandoned at the very start of last season but a great interim owner came in and left it in really nice shape. More talent in the system here as there have been a few rocky years since the departure of a ~45 season tenured owner. They pick 9th this season. A few good moves plus maximizing on the current farm system and this could be an exciting young team very quickly.
