Kenesaw Mountain Landis is going into its 26th season of existence. We have had a strong core of owners for awhile now, and we are looking for a one more to keep us going for next season and beyond! Information on the opening is below. You can choose any city you want when you replace them.
Over half of KML's owners have been around for at least 10 seasons, and 2/3 have been around for at least 5 seasons. Since I've taken over as commissioner, our wait times between seasons have been minimal. So you can count on a great group of owners and not having to wait months between seasons if you join us!
We also have a 3-year, 180 win MWR (cannot have fewer than 55 wins in consecutive seasons) to help avoid ultra tanking.
Current Openings:
AL South
Little Rock (84-78)
Little Rock has been on the upswing the last couple of seasons after several years of struggles, and they're looking for the next owner to take them to the next level. They are led by the SB machine
Turner MacDougal who is one of the best leadoff men in the league (0.361 OBP, 80 SBs in season 25). They also have some good hitters to back him up, including
Timothy Buchholz (0.882 OPS),
Alex Kirwan (40 HRs, 0.846 OPS), and Roenis Dominguez (33 HRs, 0.793 OPS). They need to do a little work on their pitching as they were 25th in team ERA, but SP
Hub Finley was an all star in his 2nd year in the majors and there are a few other pretty good pitchers to build around.
Little Rock has some prospects as well including former #1 pick
Winston Schoeneweis, former #13 pick
Barry Long, and IFAs
Benito Mendez and
Yasiel Arguelles. They have just $36 million in committed contracts for Season 26, so the next owner can either commit to rebuilding or attempt to build around their core and try and win now with that low payroll.
