I received this sitemail tonight from tab316us' account, titled "James Beason." Not sure who else did. Here is the message:

This is James Beason's son and i know he plays and runs these games nonstop. It was his self care time to him enjoy his days, but unfortunately My Father passed away yesterday on June 11th, 2026 in the afternoon.
I do not know if this will get to anyone or to everyone but I wanted to inform anyone in a league he was in or running. I am sorry for any concerns you may have with this.
He always talked nonstop about his teams and leagues he helped run and the "guys" who always joined his leagues when it first opened. Thank you for taking this journey with him.
I just wanted to try to let everyone know what or why my father wasnt participating anymore. He has moved on to be with His Lord and savior.
Thank you and God Bless,
Sam Beason

I just read the same message. I am very sad to hear this. In the context of this game - such a gracious guy, infectious enthusiasm. creative ideas for theme leagues. I'm sure he was a wonderful person to know. His son's message was so thoughtful - to think of the people his dad enjoyed playing with.

RIP James. While I never met James in person, he was always an incredibly sweet and gracious person online and he helped make this place special. He will be missed.
