One of HBD's oldest and most consistent worlds needs four dedicated owners for our upcoming season. We have a competitive world where owners treat each other with respect and have fun competing. We've had a different champion each of the last four seasons. NOTE: We are voting as soon as we fill on whether to use the Universal DH. Here are our available teams:

Little Rock Tigers (46-116): If you like to rebuild, this is the team for you. You'll have the second overall pick in the draft. There are a few solid arms at the ML level you could trade for prospects. There are also a few solid prospects in the lower levels of the minors, but this won't be a quick turnaround.

Iowa City Chargers (69-93): After a recent run of ten straight playoff berths, this team has fallen back the last few seasons. You'll have the ninth overall pick in the upcoming draft. There are some solid players on the ML roster that you could trade for prospects or try to rebuild around.

Tuscon Tarantulas (81-81): After several losing seasons, including a couple of 100-loss campaigns, this team took a big step forward last season to finish right at .500. There's lots of power in the lineup, but the pitching still needs some help to take another step forward. This team has the 14th pick in the upcoming draft.

Oklahoma City Owls (100-62): If you're looking to win right away, this could be the team for you. There are some solid position players, but this team is built around pitching, led by a 3xCy Young winner and a 3x Fireman of the Year. This team has the 33rd pick in the upcoming draft.

Competitive league, very solid owners, it will take your A game

• L.E.G. is not a league dominated by one or two owners. There are lots of solid veterans -- In my own division, three of the owners have been here for an average of 63 seasons. The 4th owner, going into his 2nd LEG season, has 282 HBD seasons under his belt. Experienced owners keep it competitive.
• Those vets also look out for newbies. We don't want to see someone learning the game get taken advantage of in lopsided trades.
• L.E.G. stands for "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen." World chat stays congenial/respectful. I don't recall anyone getting out of hand, but if you want to hurl unwanted insults or be an antagonist, go elsewhere to get your money's worth.
• Part of our world rules is to keep your minors maintained and not as dumpster fires. I don't recall anyone ever abusing this.
• If you want to know how a league is, check the World Chat. Go to World Center > View Private Worlds > click on "L.E.G." > View Chat.
• Sinfonian is also a cool dude. Good commish!
• Co-workers, family, friends, dating partners, strangers in line at the bank, etc are, in my experience, always impressed that you are the owner of a pretend internet baseball team in L.E.G.
