A Permanent Hiatus???

Given the fact that admin came out and admitted they have no intention to make any updates to WIS hockey, let alone ever creating a dynasty league, for me and many others, the writing is on the wall. I have been around for almost 23 years, but sadly, with admin’s attitude toward the loyal users of WIS hockey, it appears it I time to call it quits. I thought about doing a final Random Roster League, but I think my last league (my swan song) will be the following:

Choose any 5 letters of the alphabet. Those letters will represent the initial letters of each player’s given name and surname. One important thing to remember: “no two letters can be consecutive letters!”

For each forward position you must have 4 players using 4 different combinations of your 5 letters. For the d-men, all 6 must be different combos of the 5 letters; the goalies and scrubs must also be all different combinations of your 5 chosen letters.

Let’s say you chose the following 5 letters: B,D,F,H, & J. Your possible line-up could be:

C’s - DH - Dale Hawerchuk, BF - Bernie Federko, JD- Jude Drouin, and DJ - Doug Jarvis

RW’s - BD -Babe Dye, BF - Bill Fairbairn, BH - Brett Hull, JF - Jim Fox

LW’s - JB - John Bucyk, BF - Bob Fillion, DH - Dennis Hull, BH - Bobby Hull

D - DB - Dustin Byfuglien, JB - Justin Braun, BD - Bob Dailey, JF - Justin Faulk, BH - Bill Hajt DH - Dan Hamhuis

G & Scrubs - JH - Jeff Hackett, DH - Dominik Hasek, DB - Dan Bonar, JB - Jay Beagle, BF - Brent Fedyk.

Salary cap - $110 million, no ML’ers, no injuries/suspensions, no clones, no PI, no WW, and no shootout.

I was referring to playing WIS hockey, obviously, not my advanced years.
As for Wayne and Mario, like all my other leagues, they are banned. Mario would not qualify anyway...consecutive letters.
