The ML team was in the bottom third in Runs Score, Runs Allowed, and errors. They still have a way to go on the rebuild before the ML team will be competitive. Last season, the franchise had an $84M payroll, and has about $25M salaries that expire at the end of this upcoming season (and not 1 contract over $6.5M). There are about $65M in committed salaries for next year. The team has its draft picks from the past couple seasons, as well as prospects the previous owner traded some vets for. The previous owner was not active in IFA.
