Just for anyone keeping score at home:

BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico - no big deal

swamp's inability to find a Halloween costume in his size - tragedy
Funny you  should mention that.

I have a blue shirt that I dropped some food on and it left a grease stain I  cant get out. Was going to wear it and say I am the oil spill. Decided that it wasnt in my best interest to be beat up on Halloween.

Swampy it looks to me that you are just being contrarion for the fun of it.  You cant give us any proof that the oil is doing as little damage as you say... You are just saying what BP Obama and the NOAA is saying.  Its obvious the reasons why they are saying these things.  I say that we should make BP fully accountable for every scrap of damage that their NEGLIGENCE has caused.  And the government needs to be held accountable as well, they didnt react nearly quick enough or forceful enough to push BP into doing anything and everything that they could do minimize the damage.  Not only that but the government should be held accountable for not forcing BP to have a proper emergency plan.  This whole situation is one big cluster-f*ck!
So I have to PROVE that the oil isnt damagin anything?? How does one prove a negative in this case?

BP, Obama, NOAA and Swamphawk all agree.

Greeny and a few scietists in Georgia and some enviromentalists disagree.

Who exactly is grasping at straws here?
All I said there is that BP should be held accountable.  You seem to think that they shouldnt be...  Why is that Swamp?

Let me ask you if you allowed somebody to sleep on your couch and they made a huge mess would you not want them to clean up the mess they made in your home?

BP has commited Billions to fix this. You are not just an impartial observer looking for justice. You are an angry partisan bashing a large corporation.
10/1/2010 3:47 PM
And you're a corporate apologist, which is basically being a traitor to the middle class.
10/1/2010 4:14 PM
Again I have the Government, the president and BP on my side. Who do you have on your side?

And again BP is paying billions. What are you so angry about?
10/1/2010 4:50 PM
All 3 are culpable in this matter, regardless of BP paying billions, it's not enough.  More regulations on drilling are needed, if it costs the oil companies more money, tough ****, maybe they'll learn not to be so careless with our environment.
10/1/2010 5:15 PM
If all 3 are culpable than why is President Obama laying all of the blame at the feet of BP?

Now, I do think that BP (and Deepwater Horizon) are primarily responsible.  But the government has a decent amount of accountability here, through their increasingly lax inspections and regulatory controls.  You can argue (probably not incorrectly) that this started under President Bush, but the fact also remains that nothing changed under President Obama in the short while that he was President.

And this is why we need to clearly state that this isnt as big a disaster as thought.

More Regulations? For the worst ever, that wasnt that bad?
10/2/2010 2:44 AM
swamp you go on believing your corporate censored propaganda that this spill wasn't nearly as bad as the environmentalists think it is and choke on it. And demand that the government cut funding to the EPA. Great idea lets see how much faster we destroy the worlds environment great idea there. Excuse me for fighting for our basic rights to clean water and clean air. It seems that you will only admit you were wrong when we are all breathing through masks and fighting each other tooth and nail for a few slices of bread. If you can't see the progression of the Earths environment going to pot then you have completely lost the ability to think on your own. I am afraid for the future of the human race when I see people like you.

How much more food could we produce in extreme enviromental policies were not in place.

How much cleaner is the water and the Air now than it was 20 years ago. We need a clean air and water policy, we dont need an agenda driven Department that is anti-growth.

And I want to again point out that you believe that BP is controling not only Noaa, but President Obama himself.

Recycleing took off when there was a need driven business developed around it. We dont recycle because we feel good about Spaceship earth, we recycle because capitalism makes a profit off it.

All your touchy feely, sky is falling, enviromentalism cannot replace common sense and reality!

Fat and angry! That is how I like my Republicunts!

Study after study have shown that Conservatives are more happy than liebrals.

10/2/2010 3:19 PM
Ahh yes, but are they happier the liberals?
10/2/2010 3:24 PM
To be more specific Conservatives are happier than Liberals and Moderates. We are such a happy people.
