Trades should be vetoed for the following three reasons and these reasons only:

1. The trade is unusually or exceptionally lopsided.
2. Collusion is suspected.
3. An experienced owner is taking advantage of an inexperienced owner.


None of those things are applicable to this trade. bds has even done a similar trade before. The only reason I have heard as to why the trade should be vetoed is because I’ve won with a top 5 pick before. That’s bogus. Me and CJ are both experienced owners who agreed on a trade.

10 people have expressed an opinion as to whether the trade should be allowed. 8 of them think it should and two of them don’t. This is pretty straight forward. Either present a single valid reason to veto this trade or let it go through.

Hey Ben,
It seems like bds has been pretty clear that he feels it falls under one. And hell, with the reshuffling of the draft order I would say it went from an 8 to a 9 on the ripoff scale. I’m not sure what else you want him to say but it doesn’t seem like if you keep posting the same thing over again he is going to change his mind. Can we put this behind all of us and move on with the best draft league in SLB? Maybe we can propose some rule changes for next season.

Originally I wasn’t I favor of vetoeing but this badgering isn’t a good looo. And even a number of people who are on the non veto side agree the trade is bad. Being a commish is hard and the ODL rocks. I’d say drop it. But then again I am not the one getting a sweetheart deal wiped away so maybe I am not invested enough to have the right conviction.

I dont get the obsession with this trade.

This has happened multiple times.

One example I can see is ODL 63 between cjok and bds ironically.

bds traded 1st, 5th and first 6th to cjok1051 for his 2nd, 3rd and 4th

Cjok ended up with picks 6 and 7

Major difference here of course being 4th rounder.

You still have yet to submit a revised proposal. That would be helpful information.

There are 2 options. Allow the trade (there's no real VALID reason not too) or don't allow it (for whatever trumped up reason).

Ben said he would submit a revised proposal.

Please make a final decision on the original trade (which is fair and has been done before) and then if you decide to veto it, please make a decision on the revised proposal which includes the 4th round pick swap.


Whatever you choose we will abide by and then drop it.
