Without the revolution, Napolean may have been nothing, but otis decided to cause his own little revolution in D3, World 1 recruiting.
He challenged the paradigm that you couldn’t build a 10 man class by casting promises, promises around the nation.
His winning the cash war for Schaal (who was considering 5 teams after the first cycle and who Urd wanted very, very badly) on top of that is the real feat.
There is too much here to go blow-by-blow with, but note the decent speed, top shelf rebounding and projectable LP and PE.
I personally would have taken 2 walkons instead of Hylinski and Smith, but that’s a slight critique, not criticism.
Two questions remain: 1. who is otis?
He is definitely not a first-time coach, and 2. will he be able to keep his core happy?
I think we see some sinking WE’s before the end of the year, but when you have 5 starting 70+, you can afford some shrinkage.
