19 of the top 20 have made post-season in each of the past 5 seasons. Heidelberg's score is hurt by the season that they stayed home. If Heidelberg had even made the PIT that season, they would be ranked #15. If they made the NIT, even with a 1st round loss, they'd be standing at #10.

The Elite Eight consists of five 'Dynasty' teams, and 3 newcomers.
#1 SUNY Oneonta
#7 McMurry

OBSERVATIONS
* Lakeland is the only undefeated team.
* McMurry is being led by new coach cheato, who's following highly successful gopokes 24
*coach_knight (Lakeland) and hoosierchap (E. Mennonite) apparently have Indiana connections
* olddave is in his 21st season at SUNY Oneonta. Even though they aren't the highest ranked team this season, I consider them the favorite.
* Cinderella (historically speaking) has to be Wilmington. Even if they win the title, they won't crack the Dynasty rankings.
* Michigan, with Adrian and Rockford, is the only conference with 2 representatives.

No, Coach_knight is an alias for majresorter, I made a bunch of aliases and for some reason I liked this one, no real Indiana connections, but I am coaching a school 7 miles from where I live.

If I thought this team had any chance to win three more games, Id be ****** as hell at you for jinxing me.
As it is, i am mrhappygoluckyjustgladtobehere.
Last night we scored one of the biggest upsets in Oneonta history by beating #1rpi Hanover and their legendary coachitch.
If you really want to assess the Redragons chances, take at look at your previous meeting section. In fact, I think its actually Oneonta who is the cinderella and Wilimingtion who is the bigbadwolf

This deserves special mention for a couple of reasons:
first, cheato deserves megakudos for his work at the Mc. Obviously, gopo built a great program and a great team. But early on cheato was struggling to find the right combinations against a very tough schedule and has had to fight his way back to the top. well done, cheato, well done.
second, I was sad to see gopo go. i hope he comes back someday. He was one of the true goodguys in addition to being a great coach.
