By 'best' I mean the ones with long careers and a number of All Star caliber seasons coming up. Eventually - sooner than you like - the talent pool is going to thin out to the point where there's not much difference between available ss A, B, C, D & E. For me I'd rather pick an average ss with 5-6 full or near-full seasons than a better ss with only a season or two . I don't like to put myself in the position of having to draft for a lot of posiitons in season 3 because I've loaded my roster with a bunch of short termers in the inaugural draft.
