I don’t understand replies like that. You made a mistake - which is fine, it happens - so just apologize and move on. Telling people to chill out and that making them wait is not a big deal is not an appropriate response. Especially since we just had a discussion about respecting other people’s time while we’re off the clock.
What's not to understand? Correct, there was a discussion about it and multiple people had things going on/mother's day, etc. We went from having a clock to not having a clock. So my point is, if there is no clock and we know it's a holiday, why are there multiple sitemails being sent within just a 3 hour period and posts like "and we were moving along so well" and acting like we're all so inconvenienced when its really just a small amount of time in the grand scheme of things? Other guys have more or less made the same point here already. It seems like you want to keep things moving but yet there is no clock, so it's a little confusing. I certainly understand common courtesy if that's what you mean.
In any event, I did appologize for the mistake, and I get it, maybe people are stuck home and time just feels like it's moving slowly. I've had to keep working through all of this so it hasn't felt that way to me, but I can certainly sympathize.
