About to finish the rest of this draft from Mexico Wish me luck.

I don't expect that my picks will be much delayed though, really.
Have a good time

This is the worst team I have built since season 3.

Can we expect your picks to be in Spanish moving forward?

I think he should have to pick Eduardo Najera

Only if we agree to pool together all the Hernangomii!

Honestly M Gasol, Rubio, that one Rudy Fernandez season... Not terrible. Throw in P Gasol and Ibaka and you've got a stew going

Najera is Mexican. Those other guys are Spanish. Spain and Mexico are entirely different countries on different continents. You'd better learn the difference before you get there!

I mean, one of them is Congalese.

Juan Toscano Anderson and Gustavo Ayon though bb... now we rollin'.

yeah guys let's not go anywhere near Robert Sarver territory!
11/4/2021 2:30 PM
Of course, I was going for more of an en Español vibe.

I wasn't actually familiar with Najera, I didn't start following the league until 2010 or so. Seems like an interesting guy!

IMO, getting Ayton at the spot he went in might be the steal of the draft.

big thanks to ash, ben, and robusk for helping push this change through...it was loooooong overdue

would love to see them bump up jerry wests 3pt numbers and give him an efg% in the 54-58 range...itd be great to consider him in that tier with harden/mj/durant etc
The proposed formula for efg normalization would put Jerry with 6 seasons over 52 efg% and two seasons over 55.

Admin is focused on our State Farm formula next (although we thought they were doing this before the d ratings so who knows). Hopefully they get to efg normalization soon.
sounds great ben...any idea what would change with his 3pt shooting under the normalization? would his per% increase?
Looks like between 34-37 percent every year. Rob made the formula and unfortunately it can’t overcome the made-up data that wis uses, just normalizes everything by era. No change in shot distribution.
I'm really excited for this one. The defensive ratings are the first step. adjusting the shooting would be the final step if it's right. guys like Pettite, Baylor and others in the mix will make it really interesting in draft leagues

I did the thing I told myself not to do. Load up on ast and 3s.

What are everyone’s early regrets?
In the past I think I over-emphasized D and rebounding to at the expense of usage and shooting (efg) so my plan was to turn the dial back. I think my regret will be I turned the dial too far. Bird is only passable D wise as is Gilmore. Bobby Jones will help, Rondo is good not great on D. Wallace the same. Wanted to load up my bench with good D and didn't. So far only Ward is a good bench defender. The really successful owners seem to find a way to load up on D while getting enough shooting. I always seems to have to pick one over the other.
