The question. Has there EVER (in our entire History as a Country) been a President who clearly and evidently (without any doubt!) lost a War?

We did LOSE in Viet Nam by almost any measure, however that fiasco goes down to BOTH Political Parties and several Presidents. 4 or 5 is the majority view. Ike, Kennedy, Nixon, and LBJ. Some say Ike's predecessor as well. So that one is not the answer to this.

I'm no real Historian, so I'm not UP on the the War of 1812, so maybe someone will inform me IF we lost that one.
And the Civil War, is a loss by any measure, but I'm Not of the opinion you can pin that on one man.

So, Prior to the classless leader's chosen war on Iran no President had EVER been so foolish as to choose to fight a War and then LOSE!

Prior to Trumps choice to launch attack, the Hormuz Strait was open waters. FREE passage to all as international waters.
NOW, Iran realizes it has the ability to "control" passage within said waterway!

Trump is in a bind. APPARENTLY Iran isn't whipped, and apparently our Military can NOT with much ease and reliability take CONTROL of the Strait ourselves and thus remove Iran's largest lever!
Nor, can we, again, without extreme risk and peril, try and use troops to remove the actual remaining regime members!!

So, IF things remain as is, AS IRAN is interpreting Trump's MOU, ---with IRAN in charge of the strait---, that is a CLEAR LOSS to the U.S. of America (and the free world!!)

And thus, without any doubt under that scenario, TRUMP will go down as the ONLY POTUS to have ever (all by His own self!!) LOST a War!!
And will then go down in History as a LOSER and likely WORST President in our History!!!

So be proud you MAGA Morons. And all you spineless Republicrats!
Not only have you supported a classless, racist, rapist, inveterate Liar and womanizer, who the entire Globe knows to be a Fraud and an UGLY American and scumbag Human,----you elected and supported the WORST PRESIDENT in OUR Long and illustrious History.

Re Trump you are correct Sir.
But imo it is wrong to say that we lost the Vietnam War.

First of all South Vietnam lost the war. We lost our objective of stopping North Vietnam from taking over the country.

Secondly, We lost 57,000 men. The North Vietnamese had way more than 1 million killed. And overwhelming injuries. The war had to stop because the only way that the North was going to ultimately lose was if the “entire” country was destroyed. There would have been so many more South Vietnamese killed for it to happen that it just could not go on.

Of course the USA could have completely destroyed the North cities but China would have done the same to the South.

It was a conflict that had to end to preserve the flagging life of the country.
In some way, logically I can't disagree. However, when you look at the loss of American vitality, American blood and resources, individual damage done to families and communities all over the Country through the ruin of many men of a generation thru PTSD, assorted other maladies and the horrid divisiveness which occurred with the soldiers return home to what? Scorn, embarrassment, even worse harassment.

No, we LOST. In all sorts of ways.
Perhaps the biggest thing we lost was our morality.
I don’t think it was the loss of a war but I agree that we lost some of our soul when we committed war crimes and people say we lost the war because we lost our self perception of being invincible. It was a rude awakening. No longer could we wield a magic wand. New world new values new rules new enemies new priorities and new limitations.

My Eulogy for Lindsey Graham

Lindsey Graham was one of if not the greatest hypocrites of the modern senate. He was a Judas to his professional life long and best friend John McCain.

Principles were his stock in trade and changed as often as the temperature. Often times he had no principles. Call him a Trumper and PR man and the concierge of con.

Also he could have been an icon in the LBGTQ community despite his political hypocrisy. He was no friend to his community. He failed them.

I wonder how the John McCain family reacts.
I cannot envision effusive praise.

If there is a third cardiac arrest coming let it be you know who.

It is not as if Trump does not deserve to receive the punishment of prison, but under the circumstances, the judge would have no choice, but to provide that sentence as the democracy itself is at stake. There is a duty for the judge to factor in the protection of the public.
I do not think that there would be an independent judge in the country that would not give Trump prison time under the circumstances.
The judge in this case, hast to appreciate the fact that Trump actually did steal the election in 2016 by virtue of the crimes that he committed. If that does not compel the harsh sentence of prison versus probation, I can’t imagine what would.
Sheesh. (Actually it was Harris who was then POTUS) Harris is insane. Not an ounce of brains, but it is what you love. If the left had won.. the USA would be .. in many places.. under control of the Mexican and Venezuelan Drug gangs/Cartels. Do you remember how they just took over some apartment buildings in NY State and Col?? of course you do, but why mention that. TRUMP closed the borders. Just minutes after he was sworn in..

You Demo 's are INSANE. Brainwashed. Indoctrinated. Spellbound.. and you have NO clue what the agenda of WEF and UN is, Trump does. . Here is a hint: Not good for anyone in the free world.

Also, the Democraps lost the Bay of Pigs. They didn't win in Vietnam, and neither did the families of the 50,000 soldiers who died for that cause.. Should never have gone in. Vietnam was LBJ's project. IMO one of the most evil and worst POTUS ever.. after Obumma and Biden

Viet Nam was well under way as an insane policy long before LBJ got control of the Gov't.
The Viet Nam MESS began under Kennedy (IF not before!!) and exploded into the quagmire under NIXON (remember HIM----one of your Republicrat heroes I'd bet!) LBJ inherited the mess from Kennedy, Viet Nam was NOT his "project"!!!

Also, I'm glad you're not driving around my area!! In Arizona we have more than enough horrid elderly drivers without an imported blind Canuck on our highways. I've heard that smoking Marijuana is an excellent treatment for reducing glaucoma's effects. I think you should use that treatment, as I expect it might help you get past that mental "issue" you have with understanding and tolerating those who see more clearly than you do!!

The Vietnam War was all about stemming the tide of communism - the domino effect. But Johnson had a genuine desire to help the South Vietnamese people. There were several other motivations not associated with a moral compass but it was one of his important considerations.

Most people then and now did not see the anti communist bulwark as evil. Now we know it was misguided and unrealistic but certainly not evil.

There are millions of patriotic Vietnamese people here who feel reverence for the soldiers who fought to protect them. That gratitude has never diminished.

As an aside a lot of Vietnamese people are not informed as who did what and when regarding execution of the war and government support for the war and the 2 major refugee bills and due to mistaken understanding are republicans.

The Vietnam War was not USA vs an enemy like USA vs Japan and Germany. If Vietnam was trying to destroy America the USA in those days could have annihilated the country inside a week without nukes.

They did not fight mostly on urban terrain. Most involved fighting in the jungles which mitigated some of our advantages and we tried to keep the populated areas intact. They fought a lot like the way that the American civil war was fought on fields ( until Sherman ). What Sherman did could have been done in Vietnam in the cities.

It was not a war in the sense of wars of survival.

^ I have a book I’m pretty sure written by McNamara called something like Abdication of Duty. I haven’t read it but it is considered a very important book.

Technically ( makes no difference to me ) there was no congressional consent so it was a conflict and not a war. Sounds familiar? If it was a formal war it could have caused complications like being in a war with China. And other escalations.

Between 50 and 55 days till people in many states can send in their completed mail ballots. Trump is still trying to do something that will deprive people of that form of voting.

Trump has never to this minute backed away from having ice age nts at polling places. This is one of the serious issues of our times. As serious as a heart attack. He wants to cause people to be afraid to vote - afraid of being arrested even though a citizen and afraid of violence even though a citizen. People of color will be scared. He is depending on it.

Pro democracy groups might not get into court in time. Local police could come into conflict with the Nazis sorry I meant to say ice agents. It could happen. We could have some level of the madness of Jan 6 throughout the country.

Lately violence and killings by ice has increased. Of zi was cynical I might say it helps Trump to keep the fear factor in the front of peoples minds.

Scary stuff ahead.

If the above post wasn’t about as important as anything I write about you better reads this.

Reportedly Forrest Trump is going to address the nation Thursday evening about election security.
He is expected to talk about the interference from many countries ( except Russia ) with the voting machines. He tried it in 2020 but got nowhere and 2 companies got more then a billion combined in lawsuits against his news outlets.

Now here are the dots :

1. Tulsi Gabbard was present while the FBI seizes machines tabulation data and data in Jan 26 in Fulton Ga. She also seized machines from Puerto Rico.

2. Trump demands voter rolls to catch the 15 non citizens who vote. So far he has failed.

3. He has fabricated claims of massive fraud from illegal voting.

4. He wants ice involved on November 3 with millions already scared out of their wits.

Now the speech tomorrow:

It is for the continuation of building the predicate. He will regurgitate the already debunked lies about machines. He will spin some more and with more foreign actors. He will get back to Venezuela using puppets from Venezuela which we now control to say that Trump was right about the machines.

He is going to create a pretext and predicate to use DNI and DHS to seize machines after the election AND the FBI to seize voter data after the election and ICE on Election Day at selected polling places.

He has to be stopped.
This plan is even bolder than Jan 6. He wants to tamper with machines and tabulations and fabricate results and nullify the election.

And that is what owning the libs is today in the Republican Party.
