Struggling in the TD department though.  In our league scoring I think he is 7th.
And how many TDs did he have last season?

Basically you're saying you drafted him because you recognized his name, and had no clue what he actually does on a football field.
This is stupid.

His receptions and yardage are down this year in comparison.  He will not replicate the numbers from the last three years unless Kitna continues to check down to him.  He was top 5 the last three years one a per game average and has not been this year in the same scoring system.
Wrong on every single count, except maybe your scoring system which you haven't posted.

Witten's on pace for 96 catches (better than last season, and would tie his career high) and 1056 yards (better than last season, and the second-best total of his career). His three TDs so far this season are already better than last season's 2, and put him on pace to just about tie his career best of 7.

He's exactly the same guy he's been for the last three seasons, producing in catches and yards at the upper end of the range he's established for himself, only he's scoring touchdowns at a slightly quicker pace. If he's 7th in your league among TEs then again I say you had you clue what kind of player you were drafting.
I was wrong.  I just checked.  He was 5th last season.

Still underperforming...  although I didn't list him in the original lest because I feel it is a slight slip.  He is picking up a crap ton of yardage with the loss of Romo though.  His move upward is dependent on that.

I have posted my scoring in this forum multiple times.
OK, last time, since you are apparently drunk or have suffered a major head trauma tonight. Through seven games Witten's on pace for as good a season as he's ever had - 96 catches, 1065 yards, seven TDs.

By all means keep calling him "underperforming" though, if you enjoy looking like a total moron.

He is the #7 scoring TE.  It isn't rocket science.

Anton is a Tennessee player homer.
Willie Gault totally should have been in the Top 100 over Irvin.
11/1/2010 11:45 PM
That should change after this week's performance fortunately...  thankfully.  That being said, he has still disappointed on a drafted versus positional performance basis leading up to this week though.

Apparently for you it is.

sometimes it just doesnt get any better than three fingers of Glenmorangie, neat, in an iced crystal highball, after a frustrating evening of working

He has performed compartitively worse than his peers versus the expected...  I think you are the one struggling to grasp the reality here.
11/1/2010 11:53 PM
have to agree with Anton here - Witten has performed exactly as expected, at this point - only Gates is a step up
11/1/2010 11:56 PM
Perhaps some guys are overperforming, rather than Witten underperforming?

Nah, that's too rational.
11/1/2010 11:57 PM
No.  I agree.  Witten is doing what Witten does.  He is doing more with Kitna at QB thank God (for a Romo owner).

He is not performing based on draft position among his position was my point.
11/2/2010 12:00 AM
ok, it does get better - a second glass, with more in it

Wouldn't have picked tracyr to do a Dan Savage video.
