Nice work Polo. I was going to bring up your magic 8 ball comment last year when you started off that this reported never doubted....Then you wrap it up w/ a magic 8 ball comment. Well done, Bravo....
I hope somebody else in conference can take the 8 ball and run w/ it this year. I'd be extremely happy w/ a PI appareance.

i thought you'd like that, i was your biggest fan, and biggest doubter early on.

it was a pretty amazing story, if this was real life. team in turmoil. coach switching defenses. then coming together and just dominating a season... all we needed was some drug use, and a sex scandal to make story of the year...

H & WS (really close w/ Hamilton, I think they're just a tad deeper, which should help over the long run)
Winner of the South?
Brandeis (also close w/ NYU, but again I went the deeper team)

Yes (team has a little more developed depth now, so he won't have to carry the team quite as much. Still I'm guessing there is an unsuspecting sim school out there that KevB will unleash Harley on w/ no fear of the double team)

Well just wait until our "behind the music" episode airs on ESPN classic next week :)

agreed, I never thought the defense would be good enough, but I caught some breaks in the NT. MacMurray (finals) was really the only team I felt like I didn't have a significant talent advantage over. Didn't hurt getting Dallas & Anderson knocked out early. I also caught some other breaks along the way. W/ all that said, we were pretty solid on defense thruout the year despite the tough schedule. It opened my eyes to what is needed to run a good man defense in D3. Prior to last year I would have aimed for DE ratings over 40 in a recruit, if not over 50. Now I'm looking for more speed and will tolerated lower DE ratings when needed.

Having Coomer around didn't hurt either. He was the true definition of a stopper that could swing b/w 3 spots. I'll probably look for something similar in this recruiting class, and hope they can provide the same level of offense their senior season (I think I may have found one should they drop to me, we'll see.)

just a bit of info to help out on the Harley question....
He had 7 games last season scoring over 30 pts....
His two best games were 36 & 37 pts scored...
you guys have got a week to get in picks, they need to be in by the second game of non conference. If Harley scores 40 in the first game, that question gets taken off the board.

gee, I hope I don't tie w/ you since we each picked 12. I'll change mine to 13 just for ***** & giggles should it be needed.

I'm posting this up in the locker room asap.

I personally think with Bryce in the middle, and other quality guys on the St. Lawrence team, Harley won't have to be putting up 40.
Then again, with such locker room material, who knows...

Recruiting Round up

The recruiting season ends with an upside and a downside for the Case Western Reserve team. While Coach ampbyu bolstered the Case backcourt, he failed to acquire any frontcourt help for big men Stanley Scarlett and Stephen Heinrich. The team will have to rely on efficiency this year, rather than size and strength. "We weren't able to get another big, but I'm excited with the guys coming in. The future looks bright," Coach ampbyu said.

A look at the 4 recruits...
