Do you find it ironic that the last question that was just posted about 5 year old intestinal red meat dumps was posted by "deathinahole"?

Why are we subjected to a "Draftpocalypse: How to 'improve' the draft" thread every two months in which the solution proposed is to reward the lazy owners who don't want spend resources on scouting?

Death Storm is the obvious answer.

I doubt that's ironic.

Because many HBD owners want something for nothing.

Why are teams that are 40 GB in the division claiming $18 million pitchers off revocable waivers? What do they accomplish by this?

Will the U.S. Olympic Hockey Team medal in Vancouver?

Blocking other teams from getting better. If the pitcher is signed beyond this season, they may want him for next season. If he's in the last year of his deal, someone is likely to get comp picks. Either way, he's a good player to have.

Probably not.

Considering my HBD record, would it be wise to consider taking on a 3rd team or would pursuing a GD team be a better move?

Lighthouse or Blood Sweat and Tears?

You're a committed owner who just doesn't have a good record. For the sake of HBD, I'd recommend HBD. Maybe something will click but, worst case scenario, another world will get a 70 win team with a committed owner.

2nd chance...Young Rascals or Lovin' Spoonful?

Don't care.

My original team in Joey Belle is in payroll hell for the next season or two. I believe I can still win the weak division over this time. However, I feel that I need to get younger quickly in order to contend for the long term. My lineup is pretty solid but my pitching is shot and my minor league prospects are few and far between.

Is it smart to deal from a position of strength to add to a position of weakness resulting in a weaker lineup and mediocre staff or would it be best to slug it out?
2/9/2010 10:06 AM
Addressing weakness is usually my biggest priority. To me, being good-good-good is better than good-weak-exceptional.
