"Can someone attempt to explain this?" THAT ISN'T ASKING FOR HELP, THAT'S TELL ME WHY I GOT BEAT JUSTIFIABLY AND NOT SCREWED...do you get it yet?

You didn't get screwed you are a poor lazy coach who, just like diablo, cares to spend more time ******** about it then learning how to play the game.
Given the past evidence prior to that game, I had every reason to believe that I was going to win that game easily without any adjustment. It isn't/wasn't laziness it was confidence that I was going to win with what I had, period.

Nail on the head, part 2.
This is all you've got huh....simply agreeing with those that support your viewpoint? How about you go find a post here, or anywhere for that matter where I said that the better teams should win all the time, as you said that I said...how about that....

So you lied.......

We're on the same page, but I do have 1 question for him:

If the engine is being changed why is it that you seem to believe they should be making changes to the current engine? Wouldn't devoting time to fix this engine that will only be around for another 6 months max just take away from time that would be put into the new engine? Also if you make changes to this engine wouldn't you want to some testing first, so by the time you implement the changes especially to something as major as game simulation wouldn't it take at least 2-3 months to put it into use? So in affect you would be taking 2-3 months to "fix" something that is only going to be in use for at most another 3-4 months. Doesn't that seem completely unproductive?

So until the new engine comes out, I should just fork out $50-$100 and wait with joyful hope until its released? I shouldn't/can't be mad about anything because its being fixed, be patient? I'm extremely unhappy about losing this game period, and the justification, while valid, was insufficient to justify the result that happened in the game in question.

So what you're telling me is that I'm just SOL until the next release, eh? Nice....

I never said you can't be mad, but what does ******** about it incessantly accomplished? Remember as the bolded part states it's being "fixed." So why ***** about something while they are in the process of "fixing" it? Does that make sense to you?

I wanted to see if anyone could justly explain the result, and they couldn't. There was some good reasoning, but it wasn't enough in my mind to justify the result. When you lose a slam dunk game against a sim AI with 5 walkons, that's an incredibly bitter pill to swallow. Something didn't play out correctly, but I don't have the right to voice my displeasure with the current game because its in the process of being "fixed"? The only thing that rights this situation is a W over Montevallo, and its engraved as an L...but its concreteness doesn't make me any more accepting of what happened, and nor should it. Remember as the bolded part states it's being "fixed." So why ***** about something while they are in the process of "fixing" it? Again, I'm just supposed to joyfully wait and watch HD produce ridiculous results until the new engine comes around....I should pour $50 to hold my place because the Holy Grail of sim engines is almost here....does that make sense to you? Keep paying to play until we fix it because you'll be effed instead....kind of a raw deal if you ask me. Does that make sense to you?

you haven't shown in the slightest why you have such a huge advantage, either. NOBODY agrees with you that you had a huge advantage. if that doesn't raise a red flag, well then, nothing will.

You're polluting the forums. If I was a new HDer and I came in and was subjected to this debacle and others like it, I wouldn't stick around very long.

Its one thread with a legitimate gripe....its not like I'm going to each thread saying HD sucks....

Don't dodge the response Colonels. Shoe's on the other foot this time, you justify to us why YOU should have won. Explain your huge advantages to us. YOU explain why this should have been a slam dunk win, and please refrain from using the I beat team A, team A was better than team B, so I should have automatically beaten team B.

YOU prove it to us for once.......and let's see if your justifications are up to OUR standards. Or is that too much of a challenge for you?

Wow... that's all I can say. Wow...

Should you have expected to win, yes. Should you be ****** when you didn't. I don't know, maybe, depends on your personality. Should you be RATIONALLY ******? No.

I won't get into any of the other stuff that has already been said, but the bottom line is this. If you go into every game where your OTR is higer and expect to win with no game planning, you reap what you sow. Dude, I've been beaten by teams nearly 100 points lower, with NT squads. Almost always there is one or two things I could have done differantly and, almost always, I've just been on the bad side of the RNG. It happens. Nearly every NC team has lost to at least one team that it was a favorite to; some to overwhelming underdogs. It happens.

The problem is that you want to do whatever it is you want and expect no reprocussions when what you want to do isn't appropriate to the situation. I have no problem with you wanting to do your own thing, but when you do and it is wrong, you can't cry out like the sky is falling. Those NC coaches I mentioned did what you don't, look at the games, win or lose, and figure out what works, what gives them the best chance of winning. You don't. You don't take the advice (not attempts to shut you up as you say, but attempts to give you wisdom) and learn from the loss.

Ok, I will repeat one thing. This was not a slam dunk. This wasn't a win "all day, every day". Not even close. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you can get past it and look at the circumstances, the sooner you can make some sort of change to improve your odds. You want explainations, you've been given them. You disregard them, but you've been given them. Move on and learn something from this.
