Schwarze, you hit the nail on the head. The Quakers were a great first round pick, if everyone picked the first round picks in the first round. Game theorists have a name for this kind of draft and how it played out. I don't remember it, of course, but it is interesting. If everyone picked the teams as they should have been picked in the first round, ie, those teams with only a few usuable players, and saved the long running franchises for the second round, where all ten picks could have been great, then everyone would have had a better team than they have now. But picking the long running franchises first also kept those franchises away from someone else to use (properly) in the second round.
