Yes, I hope things work out well for you je3rd.

Schwarze, you hit the nail on the head. The Quakers were a great first round pick, if everyone picked the first round picks in the first round. Game theorists have a name for this kind of draft and how it played out. I don't remember it, of course, but it is interesting. If everyone picked the teams as they should have been picked in the first round, ie, those teams with only a few usuable players, and saved the long running franchises for the second round, where all ten picks could have been great, then everyone would have had a better team than they have now. But picking the long running franchises first also kept those franchises away from someone else to use (properly) in the second round. So while everyone's picks were rational and in their self interest, they were to our individual detriment. If that makes sense. There may be some game theorists who can explain it better.

Interesting draft. I'll remember it for a while.

I've really enjoyed this draft.  It was at once simple (since there were a relatively small universe of choices) but very complicated (since you had to weave the franchises together to make a cohesive, effective whole).  Kudos to jfranco77 for coming up with an original concept that, when explained, seemed so obviously a good idea that it was surprising no one had done it before.

yes, very cool concept - I've experimented with themes on how to incorporate all these lost franchises but never came up with something I wanted to pitch - this does the trick

With my final pick, and to obtain the services of one Cy Young, I am going to take the Boston Americans.

Was hoping those Spiders would somehow fall to me, but that was optimistic.  Good pick.

I know the rules stipulate no trades, but I assume that applies to individual players once the league begins.

Since people have been trading drafting positions, may we also trade franchises once the whole draft is complete?  I don't know that anyone will want to trade, but may we consider it?
