I'm a little surprised he didn't protect him instead of McGraw but happy nonetheless.

Phillies protected HWMNBM in round 1, remember, so no room for Mr. Howard.

Oh, so Shawon Dunston isn't good enough for you.  You're so demanding...

And secondarily, anyone know how Gary Gaetti has done in Rule V?

Two legs in a row where Ryan Howard was drafted in the second round.  In #34, Phillies owner tridentric went with Schmidt and a 4-man rotation to start, and then chose not to pull Howard back when he went undrafted in Round 1.  Howard went to rbow923's Padres with the 5th pick of Round 2.

In 9 straight legs before that, Howard was always protected before Round 1.

Gaetti drove in runs but batted poorly for me.

Since I'm following along with this wild and wacky draft...I drafted Killebrew with the Indians last leg--he did pretty well for me (offensively). I don't have exact numbers, but he was worth the pick (couldn't overcome my pitching shortcomings, however...)

BTW, the Pettite pick takes Houston off the board.

I used Gaetti many, many legs ago and as I remember he had a decent SLG% but his BAV was hideous. somewhere around .220. jeez that was at least 2 updates ago. maybe it has changed.

llcoach - yes, the knowledge I have of you is very detailed, but it's also very narrow in scope.  And even at that, I haven't yet organized it in a way that I can exploit the owner-specific data. That's coming though.  Bwa ha ha ha.
