Lol
LOL because SS and Medicare were included in the study and you realized you’re wrong?
OMG NO!!!!! NO!!! AND NO!!!!

Idiot. Say I make $100k but my tax rate is 5% so I pay $5k in state income tax and I write that off my Federal. You make the same but are taxed at 13%, you write off $13k...so when the refund check comes you paid less into SS and Medicare. LESS. That goes for every resident in Cali. That is going to stop. You want to pay 13% then do so but you may only write off $10k max just like everyone else and that $10k is real estate tax + state income tax. It hurts me too but I find it fair.

Do you understand basic math? Imbecile. But your state cannot lower the income tax rate because even though it is the highest by far in the US your state still spends more than it earns. That is my LOL. People's republic of California.
Ummmm....hate to break it to you, but Medicare and social security are taxed through the payroll tax, not regular income taxes. Everyone pays 6.2% up to 118k.

EDIT: since most people don’t itemize and those that do tend to be high income, the SALT deduction doesn’t impact SS or Medicare. Also, the study I pulled the data from included Medicare and social security, per the note posted above.
Many do itemize and those get their funds back!!! Those who finish paying SS by April due to high salaries and or bonuses get a higher paycheck. You mad bro? You are swearing again. I like making an idiot out of you. I am an expert in finance. You are losing badly here. Fact is those that itemize will not be able to deduct as much and YOUR STATE spends more than it earns and it has the highest state income rate.

I love how you avoid that one. The bad_luck triple play.

You angry, little man? LMAO!
Roughly 30% of Californians itemized last year. Most with taxable income above 118k.

Medicare and social security were included in the data that shows that blue states fund red states.

So you were wrong, the rust belt isn’t funding the coast. It’s the other way around.

Try to insult people while complaining about being insulted.
Who else but a California Liberal would even try such hypocrisy?

Ummmmmmmmmm. It was the Mass. so-called finance expert you quoted. Talk about idiocy! You ever take time to be right on one of your pronouncements? Wrong again, chump troll.

You need to head back to your Liberal thread where you can post such garbage without being corrected.
b_l, the Liberal California idiot (as greatly proven throughout the site) was the one whining about being insulted, but then insulted someone.
Are you really as dumb as him, or just blinded by so much anger over anything that could be even remotely twisted to be anti-Liberal?
P.S. Save the "I'm not a Liberal" BS, as 90% of your posts say otherwise.

Yes, and even with those 30% (and whatever percentage for people in states like NJ and DE), federal tax dollars going out are more than federal revenue coming in.

The rust belt belt isn’t funding the coast. It’s the other way around.

Looks to me like it wasn't the Californian doing the insulting.

You're as blind as ever Chump troll! All3fool.

Ooops I insulted another lamb of Trump! haha hahah
1/5/2018 11:08 AM
Sigh...A person making $300k in Cali is paying 13% tax or $39,000, which he can use to offset his federal taxes. The same person in Indiana (let's assume they have the same circumstance, is paying $9,700). So the guy in Cali gets a larger refund and pays less to the federal government. Cali has approximately 11 million people who itemize. That is a lot of federal refunds. That is what I am talking about. Do you see the math?!?!?! I am not even bringing into this the real estate taxes, which differ by towns, etc.

That same guy in Indiana does not want to pay more in federal income tax than the guy in Cali because Cali cannot balance its budget and has to hike up the state income tax and have those people pay less in federal income taxes.

Do you understand this?
