The player I want to draft is not on the list. 1922 Babe Pinelli. He didn't have a 1921 season, so i assume that list is just eligible 1921 players. Any reason I can't draft him?

I am under the assumption it's any player from 1921 1922 1923 you can draft. Any of the 3 year periods going forward. Anyway thats how I've been drafting along. i am guessing he just missed adding him to the list

could be dave overlooked him in posting the elgible list. same thing happened in a different progressive and player was not permitted to be drafted but i would advise you site mail dave for a decision if you have your heart set on this player.

There is a provision in the rules that reads:
"Similarly, if a player who should be eligible for the draft is not listed on the available list, he may not be drafted.
Such a player will be added to the available list for the following season (if still active)."


That provision is there because if the player had been on the list, he might have been drafted by an owner ahead of you.I have had this come up in other progressive leagues where a player was accidentally omitted from the list There is an other provision that reads:
"The available players list is considered final once the draft starts – even if it contains mistakes."

So my ruling is that Babe Pinelli may NOT be drafted. He will be added to the available player list for 1924-1926.

There were 538 players on the available player list and there should have been 539.I strive hard to make that list as accurate as possible. I am sorry that I missed Pinelli.
