I hope not. The idea is to create balance, a very competitive league where any team has a shot.

But if we see that the current draft system leads to disaster unexpectedly, we can rethink it further on. The Core 4 definitely favor the stronger teams from Real Life MLB. So the rest is meant to balance that. We'll see what happens. As Napoleon said "On s'engage, et puis on voit". First you act, then you see what happens (actually "first you engae the enemy, then you see what happens").

I am NOT complaining. I am just very interested to see how this plays out.
I think that one reason why the pennant winning tigers were still on the board when my turn came is because even though their top four are outstanding,
getting picks number 31 and 32 each round dampened interest.
and there are probably less successful teams, losing ones even, who still had a very strong big four but would get to draft earlier.

i’ve actually been pleasantly surprised with many of the players that have been left on the board each day.
but, then again, I may not have a clue what I’m doing,
or, as napoleon also no doubt said
“Oh merde”

I have passed over at least 2 players I can think of that I believe will be in someone else's Core 4 next season. I took someone I thought I had a shot at hanging on to a little longer.

Me too. Cream of the crop are players that had really good seasons but played for two or more teams the following year. They are potential keepers.

Also players that were good but just below the standard that could make them likely Core 4. And players that were okay for now, but will be keepers for your RL team in the near future. Lots of new strategy to deal with in this draft. And I am myself only now starting to figure out some of the permutations.

Well, I woke up to get some water, decided to turn the computer on and see the situation. Did an update - sorry about the Weiland mixup - back to bed. It's 3 am here.

Thanks everyone for your patience and persistence. We are getting there. After this long inaugural draft, the annual ones are a breeze.
