Yes. Utility has no position and cannot be on final roster.

For those with hair, prepare to pull some out trying to make a final roster.

OK - lets get this 4th round started!
There are a few decent teams out there, but none that really make my team dagger-proof. I guess I'll have to settle for "dagger-resistant"
instead. I'll go with the 1974 Pittsburgh Pirates.

Four picks in and already two teams I’d flagged are gone. This is gonna be a rough round.

I've also lost two (from my list of seven), one of which stings pretty hard. But if I only lose at a 50% rate I should end up with something at least.

Whatever the outcome, this has been the most enjoyable and interesting drafting experience I've had on WIS. I would be down to do this once every month of two, personally. Great format beernoser.

I will go '74 Oakland A's

Sharpen your daggers, fellas. I'm taking the primordial Big Red Machine that is the 1974 Cincinnati Reds.

I'm going to reveal my ignorance for a second and say that the stadium dagger seems incredibly unimportant to me in comparison to the player daggers. I generally appreciate that stadiums can help marginally increase the odds of a HR (and thus the value of a K-heavy pitcher), but inside the constraints of this league (low salary cap, often only 1-2 suitable options for any given position), it just seems very secondary.

Not asking for advice on my dagger specifically, but if anyone (outside my division) wants to share any insight on why I might exercise it in a non-random way, please feel free to share (even later, after I use it). I will probably guess the starting line up and SP and see if I think a stadium could help/hurt, but I feel like the variances of stadiums seem too subtle for teams not specifically built assuming that stadium.

Not a criticism of the format at all - just a concern that I am missing something. I've been playing for about a year and have never sensed the stadium changed the outcome of any of my games.

Not missing anything ermocito.

I never thought the stadium dagger important.

I think the first time I tried this league years ago there was no dagger and you could pick any stadium.

For the second try on this league I thought of the dagger as a new rule and also limiting the stadiums to one of your four teams. Then I thought to kind of put the two new rules together, I added the stadium dagger but never thought it more than a minor irritation.

The only important things might be maybe building a team for the Astrodome and then having it daggered or the opposite, building a team for Wrigley Field and aving it daggered.

Or if you think a team is likely going to feature HR you could dagger the best plus HR park. Or if you think they’ll be trying to go low on innings, you could dagger a park that really favors pitching. Something to make it harder to match talent to the park.

I'm not even trying to build my team until after the dagger round.
