As previously communicated, I am traveling this week and have not had access since late Thursday.  So, now that I am on in the middle of the night, I will catch up on a couple of items.

First Item
The Tommy John pick will be allowed.  I can see where they could be some confusion as the introduction to the classified post says "players available in the first season will be players from the 1950 and 1975 seasons", but the official league rules state "Players available to play in any given season are those players that had a WIS-eligible season in the current or previous season".  The bottom line is, the pool of available players will reflect players that are available to play during that particular season.  In other words, if a player had an available season in '49 or '74, he is listed as available to be drafted.  This approach to player availability will be reflected in each draft going forward as well.  That was the intent of the rule.

Second Item
The eligible player list will be updated on a more frequent basis beginning on Sunday.  Again, I will be traveling and will not arrive back home until Saturday night.  I appreciate your patience.

Third and Last Item
For the reasons already stated, I missed my pick earlier today and very well could miss my pick on Saturday.  Catching up on my Friday pick, I will take: Larry Gura

Well, That doesn't suprize me any... Buddy's stick together and don't make things right.. I thought you had more class as a Commish than that, seems you and Hockeyhead are just alike, don't like to admid when you Clearly made a mistake and won't admit it... Tommy John is Clearly Not Semi avaible in 1975... So like Hockeyhead, you took the easy road and let your Buddy Bend the Rules... How Sad...
I completly agree with the commish on his decision. If a player was available in 49 or 74 he should be able to be drafted, there shouldn't be any ******** about this as it is clearly defined.

Only get a couple of seasons out of him but they are pretty super seasons for a 2Bman. I'll take Bobby Doerr - 2B - 1949.

scotty is next and jeff follows him.
