They're all on the downside. Their skills are diminishing instead of going up. $27M for the two forwards, and you're going to wake up one morning sometime soon and they'll be 50 overall, with 59 stamina and 16 potential. Be my guest. I'm going to trust my scouts. We've got 11 skaters and a goalie that signed their first pro contract with us, five of them draft picks. Hell, I've still got two guys left from season one. Three other guys who were other now-gone teams' 1st-rounders.

My payroll is now down in Atrain range ($80.6M). I haven't played free agent frenzy since the cap went away.

good battle, bri. This game has a way of dropping injuries at inopportune times. I wish we could have met at full strength. As far as age is concerned, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the mid 30s cats. They seem to be paying off extremely well for me..at least the couple that I have. I'm also including the other leagues I'm in, as far as that evaluation is concerned. Good luck to the winner of atrain and probie. Looking forward to a great finale.

Tise had a hat trick, but was a minus two for the game. Ha! Go, power play!

Looks like I have to figure out who's getting kicked off the roster. It's between Paynter and Ambrose. Not happy with A's faceoff battles last game. one fer five...

NHN Cut Ties With Six

T'was Black Monday in North Hollywood, as the Neurosis - still stinging from being swept out of the Superleague semi-finals- cut ties with six players.

The Neurosis announced they will not offer contracts to veteran forwards Morris Zarebski, Jon Iseli and veteran defenseman Dean Cannone. The three gave the Neurosis 18 seasons of service, 521 regular season games and 195 regular season goals. The trio leave the organization with a combined eight Championship rings. Iseli was the Neuroses leading playoff scorer when the Neurosis won it's first title, while Zarebski led the way to the club's most recent Championship.

The Neurosis also bought out the contracts of depth defensemen Mariano Yafuso and Duncan Glaser and depth forward Jerrod Rummel. Glaser was the longest serving member of the three, spending five seasons on the roster, seeing action in 25 games. He was originally a first-round draft choice of now-defunct Flaming C.

"Sadly, age and injuries have caught up to Mo, Ice and Dean. This is a day we've been preparing for for some time now. We brought Blair Roarty and Korneliy Tarasov into the organization, and drafted Nate Lorimer and have groomed them to fill those roles. Guys like Emilio Peckenpaugh, Johnny Barnhill and Bryce Lienke will be expected to move up a seat into the roles vacated by Tarasov and Roarty. We don't expect the Neurosis machine to miss a beat. The right guys have the right preparation to make sure we continue to have the type of success we're used to around here."
Brain puts the super in superleague.

up 1-0, almost back-to-back PPs with about 8:00 left and again with about 5:30 left, lotta times if you don't close the show you go to overtime.
