I wonder if there is a method to Trump's madness regarding tweets. Some are wacky, but perhaps the Amazon tweet gets some better deals for the USPS.They do 40% of FEDEX ground deliveries. Rural America depends on online purchases, due to available shopping being sometimes hours away. In Hays KS, the nearest Target store was in Salina, 90 miles away...I ran plenty of holiday mail, was full of online packages like FEDEX smartpost, which the postal carriers deliver. Some of these online companies make out quite well on their shipping costs. Is time they share a bit better. Consumers might get stuck with the increases, but the freight costs would still be reasonable...the USPS needs to get better at negotiating. ..that would help too...

Trump is certainly no fan of Bezos, and doesn't surprise me to see him single him out. WaPo hasn't done him any favors...

More shenanigans from Trump's favorite coffee boy.

So many of these Trumpskis seem like characters from a Coen brothers movie.
HEY!

I'm having a hard time with the link. The first click from this page gets me into an article by three people but when I click on their source material, all I get is a BIG NY TIMES advertisement I can't remove or back out of. I don't know why.

All I can do at this point is research the three people in your original link. Perhaps they are linked to the Times? I don't know yet.

While I do that, could you find an alternative link from another source to collaborate the claims made by the 3 as yet unidentified contributors to your original post?

THANKS!
thats exactly what i was thinking....you can only read 2 or 3 articles a month for free from nyt..........nyt wits

doug ..you and others are very welcome to give it right back to me and crazy....taint if he visits......we just want to be different then the pit....i dont want any of us to get into name calling or overly edgy...none of us and that means both sides so to speak...let us disagree and be friends at the same time all of the time..you are invited and welcome...i wish to avoid anyone feeling pounced on or disrespected for their opinion...if someone comes in here says they are a nazi or a lefty supporting or calling for violence i would excercise my discretion.....there should be one place we can all offer our wacky opinions hopefully with as much humor as possible and feel like one group at all times..that is my goal.
if we are doing some cultural thing that involves lists....lets be courteous and not run over people......thats the whole magilla.
doug, the first time i met you on these forums i said that you are one of the most creative people here.....we need you in this forum. where the goal is to be friendly and get our politics in because we are among the political animals and still keep it light.
if anyone really looks at why i have redlined in the past and is really fair to me you will see that i have actually been consistent.......im not into censoring...... but there is a bent and it is on respect and fun and being mature in treating people decently.

I think it's 8-10 free articles a month. In any case, you can get around that by clearing your browsing data/history once in a while. That resets your articles visited to 0.

You can also visit NYT (and I believe WAPO too, but I'm not sure) an unlimited number of times if you search for the articles via Google News. The title of the article I linked above is "How the Russia Inquiry Began: A Campaign Aide, Drinks and Talk of Political Dirt". Copy and paste that in a Google News search and you'll be able to read it even if you've reached your limit of free articles.

Good list, dino. 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 would probably make my list as well.

I'd probably put Long, Long, Long at #1. Only being an atheist I always imagine George singing to a girlfriend, not God.

Glad you finally got around to seeing A Christmas Story. I make at least one reference a year to Scut Farkus and his crummy little toady Grover Gill. Now you'll know what I'm babbling about!

Happy New Year to you, and to all the people who post in your thread, and even the people who read it and don't post, but someday may...

thanks, Nick.....great post.........A Christmas Story lived up to all the accolades and more......i always thought the movie was made in the 1940s......the replication of life in the 40s is so great to watch.
long, long, long could replace dr robert....and move up the list.
if you havnt heard yes it is...it is on past masters i think..there is an alt version on those outakes albums ..interesting but listen to the original album version...i think it is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded..period..and it is rarely heard... it is that great.

When I was a kid and heard Baby's in black...it tore my pre-teen heart up. Love BULLDOG and all of them. LOVE ME DO still gets me and made the harmonica an instrument instead of a western movie prop. I didn't know they could sound so good.

it is always a miracle when the origin of things can intersect with brilliant genius.....and the production values of the whole span of their career is better than stuff today........i wish paul and ringo could do some concerts.....some beatles songs..some paul songs...some ringo songs.......what a blast that could be.....and if they let julian sing imagine and a few others how great could that be......they could raise 100s of millions for charity.

Saw McCartney a few months ago in some hockey/basketball venue in Jersey. He's still got it. Best show since the last time I saw the Stones.
