HD Losing Interest? Topic

They are ... if you go to the Fantasy Sports section of the Fox site, there's a "Simulation" section that's all WIS.

If they don't fix this job BS, I'll be dropping as well.

i could not in good conscience recommend HD to anyone as it is right now, HBD has potentially emerged as a far superior game, especially after organizing a huge HD survey among top coaches and basically getting brushed off by WIS.

A huge problem is that SIM AI's are recruiting 370 players, and the new coaches coming in aren't patient enough to have a few 300 RPI seasons before the winning starts.

Doesn't look like many of the Promo Code coaches hung around. Definite sign that something isn't working to keep new users.
Also seeing that long term users (DII and DI) dropped as well.
I think a lot of those were Promo Code guys, too-- saw several in D-I who came back after a long time off, stayed one season, then quit again.

I agree...a lot of stuff needs fixed, but nothing seems to be getting done. HBD has its problems, but they seem to get solved rather quickly. IN HD, the job process, over-randomization (atleast IMO...too many 567 rated teams winning games vs 680 + teams...ocassionally...OK, consistently...no way), etc, etc....I could go on but it has all been said in this thread and Vandy's Survey.

They need to shift their focus to the big-ticket stuff and stop focusing on all the sideline crap.

Great, Daalter. Now they're going to see this and say, "I wonder what we can do to fix the apparent problem of mascots crapping on the sidelines."

and I thought those were only pine cones under the tree mascot at Stanford.

If you owned one hot dog cart and were also one of the biggest hot dog makers in the country, would you advertise the hot dogs at that cart or would you spend your advertising dollars advertising that your hot dogs could be found at that one hot dog cart

Mmmmmmm, hot dogs.

Like most small businesses in the market today, if they are successful they get sucked up by a conglomerate, the original owners cash out and customer service suffers greatly. Pretty consistent formula that seems to apply here.
I would submit that fixes for WIS are near the bottom of the in pile for Fox and HD might not even be on the list. Sad but probably true for so many rabid and loyal customers.
My two cents.

I'm quiting becuase crappy sim teams will use the "random number generator" to their advantage and hold my team to 29% shooting
8/15/2007 8:25 PM
Guys, don't quit! This is still the game we fell in love with. Tarek will fix everything just like he always has. Think about your life without HD. What will you check in the morning? It is still a great deal at $7 a season not including reward points. I pay $100 every 3 months for 6 teams, and I could not think of better entertainment at the price unless Penthouse lowers their rates.
