I'm glad that my next top choice finally lasted through to my next pick. I'm going with fine tandem of Gehringer '40 and the accompanying Hammerin' Hank. Greenberg led the league in both doubles and home runs that year. I wonder how many times that's happened before.

Thanks ej. After the massive Gehringer run earlier, I was glad that season slipped through. I love how unpredictable the runs in this draft have been. For example I'm surprised how many Bench seasons are still on the board. But it looks like many people will use a teammate for a catcher; suddenly Bench isn't a priority.

Well, had I know that this particular version of Hubbell would have been available this late in the draft, I surely would not have take the last good-hitting Ruth/Gehrig combo 4 rounds ago...

Huh. And here I was looking at third basemen for my pick this round. If I'd been paying any attention to my own notes, 1930 Hubbell might well have been unavailable to you. Oh, well, at least Schmidt's a little faster than Lindstrom, and Garry Maddox will get to more balls in the OF than Ott will.
