1989-2001 = Lemieux Era - 2 Stanley Cups (back to back), 12 playoffs in 13 seasons
2006-Present = Crosby Era - 1 Stanley Cup, back to back Stanly Cup appearances, 5 playoffs in 5 seasons
Toews Era = Over. No Physical Support. No Cap Space. ****** Team Management.
If that's how you measure success, then by my count it's closer to this:
Toews era: 1 Stanley Cup, back to back Conference Finalists, 3 playoffs in 4 seasons. Compares favorably when I put it that way doesn't it?
Look, Toews is not a Crosby or a Lemieux, but the "Toews" era will only be over when there is no longer a #19 wearing red, white and black. Only then can the Toews era be deemed a success or failure.
Let's wait and see how management comes out of that RFA debacle before judging them as well. If Morin and Stalberg pan out, those deals would suddenly look alot better.
