Lol - so have you recovered yet? By the way, this weekend is the official start of spring break, and as usual there are twice as many beer trucks on Garnet Ave.

Good times. Only suckers drive on Garnet between spring break and Labor Day. We lived on Reed Ave. just east of Jewell.
Throw down a few beers at PB Bar and Grill for me. Used to end up buzzed every time I had to go to the post office next door.

I'll do that, immediately after the obligatory beer and burger at Rockey's on Ingraham. Tomorrow for breakfast it's Kono's. Viva party town...

Any idea of what high school he went to? I know he didn't go to the one we went to because I've never heard a mention of him
looks like F.P. Santangelo moved to Sacramento, CA by the time he attended High School.

Baseball Cube has the best information I found for High School and Minor League records, Bernie Carbo is listed as attending high school in Livonia, Michigan.

What school did you guys go to in Livonia? I've got quite a few friends who grew up there.
Livonia Clarenceville High School. Graduated in 92. I know some people who went to the other Livonia high schools around that time though. Maybe we know the same people.

Damn! You named two of my three favorite eating spots in PB. Used to live across the street from Rocky's, next to Crest liquor store and deli. (I miss their beefy bacon cheddar sandwich very much.) Our other favorite was The Broken Yolk on Garnet . . . in fact there's a "We've Got Huevos" magnet on the fridge right now.

KONO'S! I used to walk down to Mission Point and back to work off those brunches. Not to mention the burgers.

I just realized I miss PB a lot.

This may be odder then usual, but any Grenadiers here at WhatifSports? Anyone on this site attend Elk Grove High School?
I went to Wheeling High School, both were in the Mid Suburban Conference in the suburbs northwest of Chicago, Illinois.
The same blueprint must have been used for both schools. Elk Grove had steps in some places Wheeling had an inclined slope, or vice-versa. It was such an odd experience for me to walk through that building.
I am curious if anyone from Elk Grove went to an event at Wheeling and had a similar experience.
Anyway, attending basketball or soccer games at Elk Grove was one of the most bizarre experiences for me.
To be in what seemed like a parallel universe. To be in a place so familiar, yet different. One would turn the familiar hallways and expect to see the familiar displays, pictures, colors on the walls etc., but it was very different. Like being awake in a dream. Getting ready to enter the gym and to see a different Logo at center court, different banners honoring past teams.

Like entering your living room, and the floor plan was identical, but the furniture and furnishings were all different. very disorienting.

Could be. I graduated from Woodhaven in 92, most of the people I knew went to Franklin though, or CC. All the guys from there I knew I met at UM-Dearborn or through them. I'll have to shoot you a sitemail later.

When I first moved here, I lived near Lake Murray and rode my motorcycle there on the weekends for breakfast (when I wasn't going to Julian or Palomar). Back then it was called 'The Daily Planet'. Had my first California breakfast there.

I'm thinking of starting my first Theme League. I'd like to have a league of people who live in Wisconsin & Minnesota, or......are originally from there and live elsewhere now but call those states "home". The teams would be named from cities in the states that people consider their home town, i.e. "Madison Mustangs", etc....Having no idea of the makeup of this site, I'd like to get an idea of how many people here would qualify for this league, and how many would be interested. Open League rules, but probably 100M cap. Let me know, and thanks!
