So here's a discussion starter:
What is the difference between 15th and 16th, or 10th and 11th, or 5th and 6th?
As far as the difference between 5th and 6th goes, it's the difference in who you play in the first round. Not this year, but some years, there may be a big difference in who you'd rather run into in the 1st round.
But with the offseason coming up, and two new guys learning about the draft, I been thinking about this. (see: Draft Primer at the bottom of page 4 of this thread)
Would you rather have the higher pick, the last pick in the round, and one less chance that the guy you want gets picked ahead of you; OR would you rather have the first pick in the next round, and KNOW you're going to get whoever you put #1?
Also, with 8th still up for grabs, I'm thinking about how bad 9th place sucks LOL. 8th gets you at least one big scoop of playoff money, 10th gets you the 1st pick in the 3rd round, which Sparky turned into Macadangdang - the best skater available in the draft last year. Once he saw who 11-15 picked, he knew he had his man.
