Flaming C plays NY on Monday, Mad Cows play Speedy on Monday... ooh... ooh... ooh... Nebrasks Speedy!

Looks like finnski mostly kept the best from Hockey's old team together, added a few guys who've been around the league (from St.Louis, Pittsburgh, Steel City, Detroit, and a pretty good defenseman that was freed when Charlestown was taken over), and brought in a few guys who've never been in the league. They look decent.

why does it say i gm both teams? who owns this new team anyways?

you do!

With a win tonight Nebraks would finish with a perfect record and miss the playoffs!

we've never had an undefeated season.

Sin City is a fair match for you.

So here's a discussion starter:

What is the difference between 15th and 16th, or 10th and 11th, or 5th and 6th?

As far as the difference between 5th and 6th goes, it's the difference in who you play in the first round. Not this year, but some years, there may be a big difference in who you'd rather run into in the 1st round.

But with the offseason coming up, and two new guys learning about the draft, I been thinking about this. (see: Draft Primer at the bottom of page 4 of this thread)

Would you rather have the higher pick, the last pick in the round, and one less chance that the guy you want gets picked ahead of you; OR would you rather have the first pick in the next round, and KNOW you're going to get whoever you put #1?

Also, with 8th still up for grabs, I'm thinking about how bad 9th place sucks LOL. 8th gets you at least one big scoop of playoff money, 10th gets you the 1st pick in the 3rd round, which Sparky turned into Macadangdang - the best skater available in the draft last year. Once he saw who 11-15 picked, he knew he had his man.

Jesus. I really need to stop half-assing my GM duties.

Trying to figure this out. We've got two more spots in terms of inactives about to get the axe.

squigs and this sabres guy you invited should be next in line, i think. But if either of them aren't in by the time we're wanting to kick off next season, I think UtahCubs (who I don't really know but sitemailed me saying that these discussion threads have gotten him interested in the game) will get a team.

Finnski talks to sabres2661 more than I do, and we live in the same county!

I can't honestly say I know where he's at about taking this on.

I know finnski sent me a message on GHL saying he was navigating his way around the site and saying it looked like fun and he was looking forward to his first game.

With no teams on WIS, I have the time for this, even when I'm healthy and going to work every day.

Am I able to look at prospects yet?
