The scouting report on my team is grim. We've got platoons and part-timers all over the place, and we're still a bit short on PAs and IPs. The local media is already preparing the fans that this is going to be a re-building season!

If we get all our Round 8 picks (yeah, right!), our roster will be filled:

batting would be .295 avg / .403 obp / .494 slg. 5548 PAs
pitching would be 2.99 ERA / .237 OAV / 1.16 WHIP. 1280 IPs

And we have no "stars" on either side of the diamond.

My starting 8 batters have the following totals:
.315 avg, .381 obp, .555 slug (235 hrs) with mostly A's and B's on defense

My pitching is set:
1500 IPs, 1.15 whip, 2.77 ERA, .228 OAV, 0.55 HR/9, 2.4 K/BB

That is amazing hitting- I went back and looked to remember you got your first six picks. What a haul that was! My offense is a mess- and my pitching isn't much better. I'll post later when I have time.

I think the offenses, for the most part, are going to cancel each other out. I think bullpens mostly will too since there was also a glut of good relievers during this time frame. It's going to come down to who got lucky/picked smart on starting pitching.

No, Schwarze, I was looking for outfielders who had power and fielding range, and then I figured I'd take a flyer on Sosa. I never dreamed I'd get all four. So at this point, Brady Anderson and his 50 HR are on the bench.

And verbal kint might be right. My pitching looks okay in the aggregate, at least for the type of team I'm going for, but I don't have an ace, and I don't have very strong starters. We'll see if it works...
