I'm kicking myself most for taking the wrong Dean brother.

This draft is so enjoyable in term of the multiple dynamics involved, I'm sure I will run another version of this theme. Like the 16x16 themes I run, I can tweak the rules a bit each version (salary cap, eligible seasons, twit rules, etc) to keep things fresh.

This is way better and more complex than 16 x 16, IMO. In 16 x 16, you know for the most part who will be on your roster. There are so many more ways you can go with this current theme. A lot more variations in approach and rosters, I think.

98 BRAVES HAVE HAD THE MOST PLAYERS TAKEN TO THIS PoINT WITH ---9---....REALLY NOT SURPRISING WITH THEIR EXPOSURE ON TBS AND STRING OF RELATIVELY RECENT SUCCESS OF MEMORABLE PLAYERS.

I'm designating the "25th player selection" as Round 10.5. Page 1 has been updated to include these players. The matrix below will not show these players though (too hard to incorporate into current format). The matrix is really designed to see which teams each owner still needs to draft from (and round 10.5 does not change that at all).

Nice pick Juice. Johnson was next on my list if you didn't take him. Those 21 triples in '96 would've looked nice in the Astrodome.

Looks like rickysdad will get the most out of Round 10.5 with that Greinke pick.

Thanks - I hadn't even looked at him until late last night because I was so sure that I was going to get Willie McGee...

Just realized I already have Coleman. Thanks for saving me the embarrassment of drafting an ineligible player :)

I doubt that, because he can't use the 2015 version if I understand the rules correctly. The 2009 Greinke is good, but not dominant.

I really like the Alfonzo and Lopez picks, given the scarcity at those positions. Way back when I took Utley I vacillated between Alfonzo and Utley, [edit] Actually I considered not taking Bonds because Alfonzo was on the same team, and I considered taking Lopez as a twist but decided against it because of the less than full season. He's a perfect round 10.5 pick though.

BullMoose already has his 1975 Red. I will be gone all day so I will jump ahead and take:
Griffey Sr., Ken 1975 Cincinnati Reds OF 3,478,738

Thanks. I was holding my breath on Javy Lopez. Besides you, only two other folks needed a catcher (Jtpsops & gorbyruss) and neither had taken a '94 Braves player yet. I am not twisting to his 2003 season (too expensive for 495 PA). He has a respectable .316/.370/.503 season with 638 PA for under $5 million that I'm using. Had Lopez been taken, I would have had to piece together a platoon from what's left (which is what I imagine Jtpsops & gorbyruss will do, unless they have a twist left). And I would have grabbed the first part of the platoon with the last pick in round 10 (and you know who that pick would've been).

Ya, my catching situation is going to be interesting. I had eyes on Slaught for a while. There aren't even any really good twist options left.
5/8/2017 1:53 PM
I thought about using my twist on Spud or Santiago, but decided I'd chance things with the platoon and twist Fonzie instead...I too had my eye on Slaught's great '92 but really needed Jay Bell...
