So my football-playing catcher has now refused my very generous $8.5M offer. I have to leave the offer in place all season, though, to get my Type D compensation next season, right?

I don't think the Yanks are as good as they were last year.   And they've not played well since August while the Phillies have been rolling.   But, in a short series......

Well, it says I have my money back, but the Help screen says I can't reduce the offer during the season. If I offer that money to someone else after it's been rejected does that constitute "reducing my offer"?

I just traded Peyton Hillis, Big Ben (my backup to Cutler), Sid Rice (still on crutches), and Aaron Hernandez for Dallas Clark, Larry Fitz, Pitt D (with juiced up D scoring), and BrettFavre (I didn't want him but I'll take the bad with the good).
