Sean O'Donnell will help your D out BIG TIME.  Nice pick-up, your team is adding character players, and that is EXACTLY what your team needed.  I will start out next season ranking the HAWKS ahead of the RED WINGS now!!!!
Really Juskay? your liking the modern day Dana Murzyn..lol  all these young forwards in the league scared of a 36 + yr old pylon with slow foot speed?
Did Dana Murzyn HAVE character???  The Hawks have signed some character guys today......Burnett, Mayers, O'Donnell............The new guy's eclipse the "Demi-Gods" that they lost when they had "CAP ISSUE'S"                           PLUS???????

Huet is in Europe........

Campbell is basking in the Florida SUN......

The HAWK'S have re-imerged as a POWER-HOUSE in the WEST????  I don't llke it??  But I am a hockeyfan.  And if you are a HAWKSFAN, you had a GOOD day TODAY!!
Carcillo, Mayers, Brunette,o"donnell..maybe 23 goals? character yes but cmon Juskay ..i see a lot of pp opps for the opposition..if im the Canucks im not too worried...you think these guys make the Hawks a power house?

Brunette can finish,,but the other 3 ? i would give them breakaway after breakaway  while making line changes or having a goalie equipment issues..i doubt they could hit a empty net from 15 feet straight in front ofthe net..looks like a cast from Slapshot

Finally figured out how to get under your skin???  I made you think I liked the Hawks for about ONE MINUTE???  I hate the Hawks as much as you Buddy.

Happy Canada Day Randle...........PS......I hope you are back,  I have missed you!!!! and I hope your dog is doing better.  Cheers!!!!!  Juskay!!

No problem Juskay..cheers to you as well ..I think the Canucks could use alot more toughness...not make them more of a powerhouse but help the Sedins play to their full potential..by the way what was Wally thinking last nite? im still trying to get my head around that field goal? let Travis win it for us

It was nearly a great comeback though............I think we have a great D, Travis L is a keeper.  I am planning on going to the Grey Cup and watching the Lion's.

you gonna bring a tape of an old lions game with you while you watch the stamps play against someone from the east in the grey cup juskay?  ;}

me too  Juskay Travis is definately a keeper ,great character and leadership...sorry to the other posters who have no clue about what we are talking about ..Canucks and Lions  this year ..a double championship..2012 is gonna be a good year ...Packers won so i was exstatic already but ..a repeat to go along with the Canucks and Lions will be a terrific  year

Interesting how the concern from non-Hawk fans is the scoring ability of our UFAs.

We scored the 4th most goals in the NHL, and added Andrew Brunette who's an offensive upgrade over both Kopecky and Brouwer.

Then we added Steve Montador and Sean O'Donnell, who are both defensive upgrades over Campbell. They'll block alot of shots and will improve our PK, which was the leak point of our team.

Then you add Dan Carcillo which, if he makes the team, should make the Sedin sisters ecstatic to face a line of Bickell-Bolland-Carcillo in a playoff series.

I'm not crazy about the Carcillo signing cause I hate him as a player, but it is a gamble worth taking at 775k.

One thing's for sure, no one will be pushing next year's Hawks around. Good job Stan, with 7 million to spare (before RFAs).

any idea what campoli, frolik, and stalberg are asking for?
I think they all could be signed for under 2M each...maybe a bit more for Stalberg.  Stalberg may not be back though.

We did add a top 6 forward in Brunette, who should thrive playing with those other 5 guys.  We didn't need a top 4 d-man, just some depth.

If 37 year old Andrew Brunette is your idea of top 6 - you have proved my point that the hawks have a long way to go before becoming competitive again for a cup.

He's 3rd line material... at best.

You seriously underrate Brunette.
