Interesting how the concern from non-Hawk fans is the scoring ability of our UFAs.
We scored the 4th most goals in the NHL, and added Andrew Brunette who's an offensive upgrade over both Kopecky and Brouwer.
Then we added Steve Montador and Sean O'Donnell, who are both defensive upgrades over Campbell. They'll block alot of shots and will improve our PK, which was the leak point of our team.
Then you add Dan Carcillo which, if he makes the team, should make the Sedin sisters ecstatic to face a line of Bickell-Bolland-Carcillo in a playoff series.
I'm not crazy about the Carcillo signing cause I hate him as a player, but it is a gamble worth taking at 775k.
One thing's for sure, no one will be pushing next year's Hawks around. Good job Stan, with 7 million to spare (before RFAs).
