Knee does it matter considering that the NL has beaten us ALers both times. Or are you getting confused to which team is which? :)

Yes I confused the AL and NL

Josh- How is it different not being the captain this time around? Do you prefer it?
Makes no difference to me. Steveymer and I still did most of the research and sent that to our tribe for discussion. I don’t think I’d have gone with the Yankees, but they were one of the three teams I suggested made the most sense so I can’t say it was a bad choice.

dtown- The responsibility of picking a team falls on your shoulders, should the blame for the loss as well? So far our captains have viewed the role as a facilitator more than as a ruler. Dtownlove offered everyone a chance to talk him out of the Yankees, and no one tried to as far as I know. Btown’s approach of just making a choice has certainly worked out for them the first two weeks. If we had won, a case could be made that it should be held against btown. But in our more collaborative approach, blaming dtown would be wrong.

I think again this is due to the different styles as captain so far. Dtown and I have opted to get everyone’s opinion and form a consensus, which takes longer than one person picking a team. And, so far, obviously doesn’t work as well.

acketyack- so far your game hasnt been played, should this be held against you?
The idea of faulting acketyack (aka “160 live is an off season”) for not playing a game, of all people in the WIS live community, is a hilarious concept!

sloadrock- Josh is the one with a win so far this week. Is he safe? Does his loss as captain wiegh in a week later?
For anyone, basing a vote on a sample size of one game would be silly, IMHO. I hardly became a smarter manager from round 1 to round 2.

to answer knee's question posed to me. I think what josh says makes sense to me as well. We tried to be colloborative and open to all opinions. I think we all just had issues in game management. Obviously me pulling Mendoza when he was at 85% was wrong, I should have rode him for one more inning. By the time the 5 run inning occured, Buddie wasn't the best option but I was saving Mo Rivera. Obviously I should have used the best pitchers first. Even though I lost, I think that should bear not much on voting for me this week. I have proved a capable owner for many a leagues. I also had a good bit of sportsmanship, not restarting the game when I was up 3-0 on Delta. It was a good week overall for me even with the loss.

josh posting aabout everyone but me...seems fairly obvious to who he's voting for..lol

Wrong besterateam. I just had nothing to say about that question. I also didn't respond to steveymer's question.

One thing I learned while my wife has watched EVERY minute of EVERY episode of EVERY season of Survivor: Nothing is obvious.

Man I was on every night this week from 7-11pm. Other players saw me there. There where 2 nights this week where I signed on for live and you where there listed as away for over 2 hours and then without trying to get the game in. I made an effort to replay this game, even after the crash that nearly sent me into a rage.
11/28/2009 6:22 PM
right after the crash i was on for over an hour...and i've been on ALL day today..and as we speak..so come on and lets play..even though it's probably too late now..

stevy- are you confidant that you know who is going home this week?

Nope; don't know who it will be, just hope it's not me. :)

Another fun week, and another 1 run loss for me. I'd like to take some credit for the fact that I voted to use the 96 Padres, but my reason for doing that was pitching depth, and that was not an issue in my game at least. I was able to get through the game without going to anyone worse than Holmes, and with Rivera still in the pen.

I think next week we begin our comeback!!

This week was not me picking a team. I was reserching and came up with the 3 teams I liked best, 2 others on the team did the same thing. There was one team we all had on our list and that was the Padres. We went with that choice, but it was a collective decision realized simultaniously by a few members of our team. It just seems that right now our team is thinking as one collective unit. This week it worked to perfection. GREAT JOB BY EVERYONE ON THIS TEAM.

I was just going by how you described the role of captain before round 1, and how quickly your team got a pick in. Not a criticism in any way!

Let the comeback begin!
