I love bananas in cereal. Or on ice cream.

Experimented with using fried plantains in savory dishes, never worked out for me.

Got a boneless pork shoulder, about 7.5 pounds. Going to try to crock pot it overnight.

With my special BBQ sauce of course.

Put the meat in my crock pot...slow cook for 12 hours...cooking it in a 50/50 mix of apple cider and jack daniels.

After about 9 hours I will take the meat out, dispose of juice, shred and put back in with my special bbq.

Have someone turn it to warm after 3 hours...will come home at lunch and eat and store overs.

The cider is for flavor, the booze breaks down the connective tissue.

The Pork Rocked, in my opinion. Some other people thought the sauce too sweet. It might have been the meat cooking in the cider.

Of course the people who were critical didnt mind taking a plate home, lol!
